Prof Melnyk is extremely funny and kind; she makes lecture interesting, regardless of the topic. You need to attend class to do well, though! The tests are based substantially on what she says in lecture. Seriously one of the best professors I have had at Western!

I wish I could have taken more classes with her! She was the best, I loved her. She taught me good skills about taking multiple choice tests in any class and was so helpful! Her lectures were always fun and full of good information, which made studying so much easier. She grades super fairly and is always willing to talk to you if you have issues!

Her 2031 class is super easy, and very clear in what you need to do to get a good grade. However, she is biased in what she teaches. It feels like she has her own agenda and views and subjectively chooses material to back up her ideologies, this turned me off but it is worth the high mark.

I've never had a professor that was so enthusiastic about teaching the material. Makes lectures incredibly interesting and funny. Exams are straight forward if you have shown up to lecture and read the textbook. Would definitely take again!

Dr. Melnyk is an incredible lecturer - don't skip class! Her lecture notes are skeletal so you really do have to attend class and pay attention if you want to do well. Most exam questions are lecture-based but some do come from the textbook so you have to read the chapters. Exams are very fair (this class should be a relatively easy 80%).

Best professor I have had in 3 years at school. The content is fascinating and she explains concepts very well. Melynk is an engaging prof and uses stories to help you understand concepts. Lecture material is a combination of concise notes, videos, graphs, and class participation excercises. You feel like you are actually learning in her class.

Honestly the best prof I've had at Western in my 3 years. She clearly knows what she's talking about, she's passionate about her field and explains concepts really clearly. Her exams are really fair, if you go to class and read the textbook you're good to go. Also, she is hilarious and makes going to a 9am class actually fun. 10/10 for sure.

I loved Prof Melynk!! I found her so funny and sarcastic which made her lectures interesting. I know she comes off as maybe annoying to some people but I loved her and the way she lectured!! always told jokes and made it interesting. The class itself is interesting as well, I really enjoyed going to class and always learned cool things.

Amazing prof! Best lecturer I've had at Western! Very funny and keeps lectures interesting. She runs the class the full 3 hours, but makes it feel like only 1 hour. If you go to class you will do well on exams! I'd highly recommend her!

If you like psychology courses, you have to take a course with Professor Melnyk, she is one of the best professors in all of Western. Must attend class, readings go along with her lectures. If you study you can do well on her tests, and if you do not you will struggle.

Fantastic professor, I cannot say enough good things about her. She keeps class entertaining, and is extremely passionate about her field. She is always organized, and has exam marks on OWL the next day. Prior to exams she posts practice questions and is always available to meet with her students. 110% would take any of her courses.

One of my absolute favourite professors. She is one of the only people who can keep me entertained for three hours, she clearly is passionate about what she is teaching and teaches it in an extremely clear & fun manor! She has a dead-pan humour that adds comic relief into the serious topics! I had to write a review just because she is so amazing.
