All these comments are coming from many bitter, angry students who were lazy. If you're not willing to do work then this isn't the class for you, but I had Professor Kazura. He knows history extremely well. He's got a sense of humor, but you have to listen closely for it. If you're willing to pay attention and read about 20 pages a week, it's an A.

very odd professor, but really not as bad a teacher as everybody else would lead you to believe. the real reason why you shouldn't take this class is the smell. it's like he bathes with urinal cakes. if you can't get out of his class, sit in the back.

There are a few things you need to know. He does not TEACH the material at all. He tangents the entire class (literally) and then quizzes you on stuff you should have read that he never went over. Very tough grader, little senile, does not hold office hours and generally seems very confused about everything. For the sake of sanity do not take him.

Surprised he has not retired. Used to be easy and entertaining. Hardly worked at all and got good grades. Very inflexible if I remember correctly in terms of opinions. Authority on US history I believe. Has some interesting stories.

I couldn't finish w/ just 350. anyway, for the tests, he will simply give u like 5 historical figures' name, and u write something about it. sound easy, right? but imagine u have to study like 30 different ppl? Goes off subject alot but who cares? If you remember things you do great. Almost never need to do the reading.
