Professor Lentz is nice lady, who knows her materials when explaining it to the lecture. However for her powerpoint slides she literally just copies and pastes the pictures from the textbook into her powerpoint slides then she talks it out in class, but when going back to study it makes it difficult because we have no references.

This professor is in it for the money. She doesn't care about the students or how they learn. She is taking a leave to write her textbook that she thinks she can do better. Honestly, the school would be better off never taking her back. I advise all to stay away (even though the other 201 professor isn't that much better). Lentz is the worst!!!

Don't do it. Her lecture slides are pictures and diagrams and all she does is talk at you for 50 minutes. Information is hard to absorb bc she runs through them so fast. Not a good teacher for a class that requires you to know small details. Final is cumulative and she provided 0 help for studying. (no review and didn't open online tests to study)

Dr. Lentz is a great person but an awful teacher. She tells you what is on the test one day and the next day she changes it. The class was very disorganized. Spent half lecture fixing exam errors. Class was not difficult but she pulls the questions out of a database making it difficult as the questions don't always reflect what was covered.

Dr. Lentz is a good teacher, I'm a senior and have had her for bio 3 and immunology. She is very smart, sometimes has trouble focusing on what is most important, just know everything basically. Work hard, you will get an A it is not impossible. She ins't kidding when she says buy a wipe board. go to her office if you are confused and you'll be fine

She's a master at the material so she often forgets how hard it is for new people to learn. However, she REALLY cares about how you do and gives you tips constantly. She teaches really hard courses and that shouldn't be confused with her ability to teach. If you are taking a tough class, take it with her. She WANTS to help.

Lentz is great in the lecture hall, but you need to read the textbook and start studying for her tests weeks in advance. Her test questions require you to be very specific and you really have to know your stuff in order to get full credit.

Probably one of the worst professors on campus. Long tests that are short answer and most of the class doesn't finish. You have to teach yourself the material.

Tough class. Tests are very tough, make sure you READ the chapters she assigns. Her tests are long and short answer questions, few if any multiple choice. She makes you cover 90 pages per test and will test you on very specific details. Go to her lectures and she will tell you what stuff will be on the test, memorize it. Lab is easy points

Dr. Lentz is an amazing woman, however she does expect a lot out of her students. Her lab was easy, & her lecture exams were very difficult for no reason. She is not very clear at times as to what will be on the exam, but take advantage of the exams that have the pathways on them because they are an easy 10 PTS! she expects you to know everything.

Lentz is a professor that expects you to do your work on your own and learn a lot of material on your own. She tends to skip over slides (that usually means it isn't that important). But when she focuses on material, it'll be on the exam. Also, she drops the lowest of 5 exams, so that's helpful.

Extremely boring lecturer. Reads off of pre made slides which mostly consists of just pictures. Tests are VERY hard, she expects you to know very specific topics and she doesn't tell you what to expect to see on the test. The worst lecturer I have had at SUNY Oneonta.

Quite possibly the worst teacher giving a lecture on the worst class. This professor had no clue what was going on from day 1 until the final was given. She teaches off of pre-made powerpoints from the texbook that she posts on blackboard to begin with so there was no point in going to class. Unfortunately she's the only one who teaches it too

GOOD LUCK, she is an harsh grader, poor lecturer, and could care less about how well you do in her class. The class average for tests was always in the sixties. Only 3 tests and lab grades make up your grade, it is extremely hard to do well. You must read the book and take your own notes from it in order to try and pass her tests.

Her lectures are dry and she only reads off the powerpoints, which are just pictures. She'll say one or two things about them , but you HAVE to read the textbook. Her lectures are pointless, but she'll tell you they're important because the word of the day is "spaghetti" and then that will be on the test.. But that has nothing to do with bio.. so..

Tough Tough class. The class averages for tests were around 65, and the tests are the only grades for the course. Extremely tough material and the tests are brutal. She is not a great teacher, try to avoid this class.

I'm a senior and this teacher focuses too much on specifics rather than understanding entire general concepts for a lot of things from my experience. Responses to emails take forever and she hands everything back incredibly late so it's hard to get feedback unless you go to her office hours. Overall I would say STAY AWAY! Grading is ridiculous btw

Dr. Lentz is the worst professor I've had at Oneonta. She reads off a powerpoint slide which she gives you, and then gives tests that you have no idea what are gunna be on. Lab is easy, they can be harsh graders, poster presentation is a guaranteed 5050 points. Her tests are awful, you MUST read from the textbook.

Tests are short answer and very difficult for this type of material. Lab is easy. She does occasionally offer pop quizzes in class for extra credit and you get to work with a partner. This is a hard class so be ready to work!!
