Comment:

One of the nicest professors I have had. Cares about her students and wants them to do well. Reading quizzes very periodically to make sure you are reading the textbook but they are simple if you read. Reading heavy but nothing impossible. It's a tough class but an A is more than manageable if you put the effort into reading.

Dr. Rose is a great teacher. She makes the assignments easy to follow and simple. There was one midterm, a video project, and one final exam. She also has a bunch of reading quizzes but they are easy if you do the reading. Overall it was a great class. I would totally take her again.

Professor Rose is an awesome teacher. She is super nice and approachable. Tests involve a lot of memorization of art works but if you pay attention and take notes it won't be a problem. The material is interesting and she engages students well so it's easy to pay attention; a lot of class discussion goes on. 3 exams including the final, one project

Dr. Rose is a kind individual who wants the best for her students. I love talking with her and was thinking about switching my major because of her and the class.

Great teacher who loves the subject and wants you to do well. She gives a couple of tests but provides a list of the monuments you need to know beforehand and one research paper which she grades easy and will help you on. Easy way to fill AH requirement and is actually interesting.

Dr. Rose is passionate about the subject and cares about her students. Must take good notes and pay attention in class. Uses blackboard, journal entries due each week and three papers throughout semester. Exams are tricky..lots of memorization of artwork for only five questions.

I had a blast in this class. I learned so much and never expected to get anything out of it. Almost declared an art history major it was so intriguing. The only problem was she keeps the lights low and has a soothing voice. I drifted in and out of consciousness multiple times. Definitely recommend :)

LOVED this class! I learned so much about things I had no prior knowledge on. She made everything so clear and interesting. I loved writing papers for this class too. Her tests are pretty simple, and she gives out lots of extra credit if you're struggling. Really wants students to be involved with art and culture at Fairfield.

She is the nicest professor ever. Super helpful and lenient. She really wants everyone to do well and leave the class with some knowledge. I loved going to her class it was always engaging. SUPER EASY AND NICE! She made me want to be an Art History major! Take this class for your core if you can, you won't regret it!

Prof. Rose is awesome! Learned a ton about art history, not a lot of studying, 1-2 page papers on a bi weekly basis, nothing to bad. She's very helpful and lenient about turning things in late. Allows 3 absences regardless of the reason. Extra credit for those who want it. Research paper isn't bad at all. A must take!

Dr. Rose is very intelligent and knowledgable about art history. Her class is interesting, even though I'd never really been interested in this before, and also the class is somewhat relaxing. There is a lot of work but it's managable. Overall, not my favorite professor ever but I'd definitely recommend her for this core.

Really nice, class is easy,turns out the lights to show slides easy to doze off, rose is good knows her stuff and tries to make class as intresting as possible- tests are a joke- 4 or 5 slides with questions and one essay- usually gives you the essay question before hand- an easy A

Don't know whats wrong with the people below, Dr. Rose is an excellent professor. Maybe they just got bad grades. Dr. Rose grades fairly, has a young voice (not annoying), and is better looking than most female professors at Fairfield. Quality class, not too tough, knows her stuff in an interesting, tough subject. Highly recommended.

Easiest Class I've taken at FU. I sit in the back and sleep while she turns the lights off and talks about art slides. I have an A without doing any work. The tests are a joke and we have 3 papers of 2 pgs in length. If your looking for an easy A in a core class take Rose

i dont know what ppl r talking about bc rose is excellent. she lets you re-do papers, explains everything crystal clear, and is always available to help you. she's brilliant and very nice. definitely take her... i have her now and I have an A in the class.

if she tries to explain what "symmetry" is again, my head might implode. She tends to talk to us like we're babies, which is irritating because she can talk to you very intelligently if she wants, so basically she thinks we're all idiots.She's not the most irritating prof though, but if you know your stuff, avoid her take escobar.
