Lou is the best professor I have ever had. I took him for ENGL 310, as well as ENGL 451 & ENGL 331 in past semesters - he is deeply invested in the well-being of his students. Class is like group therapy. Gives great advice, about your writing & life in general. He represents everything higher education should be, take him no matter your major!

I took Lou this semester for ENG310 it was his poetry class, and it was awesome. He is one of the nicest men I have ever met, and his class discussions are great. I would definitely recommend taking him if you have the chance.

Favorite professor so far at school. Topics discussed are mature and thoughtful. He values anyall opinions and interpretations of material. He lets you write as your own self and doesn't forcerequire you to be someone you're not. Told lots of great stories of his life in New Orleans. Very inspirational, always has a different perspective :)

gallo was awesome. i loved his class. he was a realist. and just wanted you to learn to write. obviously loves poetry. very helpful in showing you what you need to strengthen in a positive way. helped me tremendously. loved the open discussion format of his classroom. definately take him.

GREATEST TEACHER EVER! Highly recommened taking his poetry class..easiest english class i have ever taken. TAKE THIS CLASS. All you have to do is turn in a poem every thursday. Cancelled class alot but was because of Hurricane Katerina. But best class..really enjoyed it!

Probubly the best eng professor at radford. chooses readings that he thinks would interest his students, asks for our opinions on what we want to read. great personality and is very understanding.
