Comment:
Once I enjoyed Theatre. After enduring Margaret's classes, I ran away screaming from it. At least, at the academic level. It seemed to me that she was showing off her talent and training rather than teaching the students anything. Her acting looked wooden and artificial . Very dry, elitist, no sense of humour. It appeared as if she hated to teach.

She will not give you the feedback you need and it will take months to get your papers back. Also, she will pick favourites early on and if you're not one of them it's hard to get her attention. She also seems kind of uncomfortable talking to her students so it's hard to engage with her compared to the other theatre profs.

She is a very excellent professor, actually one of the best professors I had ever had. She is very enthusiastic about theatre. I had no interest in theatre prior to this class, but after taking this course with Margaret, I am thinking of taking a minor in theatre. Just a heads up if you choose Margaret: She does expect a lot from you.

I have had a good time in her classes, but I can see that she can pick favorites and does have a very feminist point of view. She is quite fair in her marking, even though she expects a lot. Her classes are challenging, but in a good way

I signed up for this class expecting a theatre class, turns out she's made it a purely feminist theatre class. Good professor, knowledgeable but needs to LAY OFF THE FEMINISM STUFF IN CLASS. It was NOT a feminist class I signed up for and therefore do NOT want a feminist class. She also picks on men for being male. Overall she's a 7.5 for knowledge

If you are straight out of highschool and talk all class or consistently skip, expect a hardass, but if you are an interested, respecting student, then you can expect to get a lot done. She encourages good energy, and makes things fun, especially for those enthusiastic about theatre. Easily my best class this year

BOO. I took this class in first year, and it turned me off of taking theatre ever again. I found her incredibly pretentious and snobby, and she really plays favorites in her classes. Watch great plays die in this course. And what is with her phony accent&

She's interested in the subject matter and has a fun disposition adn use of humour. More visual aids would be better when discussing staging of Shakespeare.

Poor Margaret. She should have stayed with acting. Could it be any more obvious how much you hate to teach?
