Her online class was pretty labor intensive and was set up where you literally had to work on it every single day to get it all done. A pretty good chunk of your points depended on the other students and she only opened the quizzes on Fridays, both of which were very inconvenient.

Would not recommend taking online class with her. She never posted syllabus so the whole semester I never knew what grading scale she used. She told me several of my assignments I turned in online was blank, although I double checked them. I offered to resend them through an email and she never replied back and did not give credit.

very nice teacher, but don't assume that nice=easy because she'll put it on you come test day. take very good notes and study them between classes so that you're ready for the quizzes (at least 1 per week). also, you MUST READ THE BOOK in order to make good grades on the quizzes and ESPECIALLY the tests!!!!!!! remember...READ THE BOOK!!!

Mrs. Ortigo is a good teacher, but her sociology 2001 class is hard. her tests are very comprehensive because she gives u some senarios to think about and some of the questions that she puts on the tests are tricky, but overall she is excellent!

Was ok as far as grading, but was unpleseant and made stupid rules just because she could. Girls could wear hats in class, but guys couldn't. Doesnt makes sense for a major liberal AKA communist.

Not into giving bad ratings, but she deserves it. You think she is dynamic/original until you see every word (including bad jokes) on the D2L notes. Tests/notes were made from old text years ago. Coasting by on a fraction of knowledge and a syllabus 10 years old. I call that irresponsibly stubborn.
