Professor Spina was an absolute gem! She is very sweet and passionate about Italy as she is from there. All assignments and tests are done online. She was good about taking late work. In class is mostly learning and speaking exercises. We had three oral presentations but they were quite easy. Very very easy A while actually learning Italian.

Comment:

Very good professor. She is really nice and you don't even have to go to class to pass just do your homework and go to class whenever you absolutely have to. Lots of homework but expected because of a foreign language.

The best professor I have ever had. She is absolutely amazing and so caring about her students. I wish all professors could be like her. I absolutely adore her.

Comment:

Professor Spina is from Italy so she is very knowledgable on the culture and the language. She works with you so that you are able to do your best. She makes you want to learn more and come to class to hear her lessons. I would take every class she offers if I could. By far one of the best professors at UCF.

I will be honest, I only went to the first 2 classes, was super worried I was gonna fail, and got an A. There is no late penalty for anything and everything was so easy to make up. It was a mixed mode class, but I basically did everything online, including the final, which was supposed to be in class. However, she allowed us to submit it online!

Professor Spina is really easy going. You can turn in late work without penalty. The tests are all given through supersite/VHLcentral. Let's you google one or two words. Can pass the class even if getting 50% on the tests. She has so many discussions that they balance out the test grades. 10/10 would recommend.

I absolutely love her. She cares so much about her students. I have a mental disability that makes it hard to come to class and she has been so accommodating and encouraging. Ive never had a better professor. Not only is she a good teacher, she is such a kind hearted person!

I loved her! She's very merciful when it comes to late work and making up tests. Her instructions for tests and projects are also really clear so as long as you study the terms she tells you to and do projects by the rubric, you'll do great in this class.

She really makes the italian language and culture come alive. She always tries her best to answer any questions. At the end of a chapter you have several different assignments to turn in at once and then a skit to perform as well as a test, but the assignments are basically discussion posts and she is an easy grader. Easy A if you have the book.

I love Signora Spina. She helped make learning about Italian Language and Culture entertaining and engaging, and her class was a lot of fun, although it was also hard work. Well worth it, however. :)

One of the kindest people I have ever met, she understands life so deadlines are sometimes flexible. She really loves Italy and wants you to also! You will have fun as well as understand the Italian way a lot better when you go through her class.

Love her!! She's one of the best language professors that I have taken. She's super nice and funny. She's so happy and she helps bring that to the class, so if you feel like crap she can help make you smile. Very easy grader and she helps you whenever you have any questions. Definitely taking her for Italian 2!! *She also teaches other languages*

Comment:

She is very responsive to emails and helps out as long as you are trying your best. She helped me get over the 0.05% I needed to get a 4.0. Homework is tricky sometimes but ask her for help if you need it, she will get to you very quickly (sometimes on weekends, too). Only downside is VHL Central is awful, but I don't think that's in her control.

Super sweet! She's great at explaining and really goes out of her way to make sure students grasp the language. She genuinely wants everyone to do well and makes learning the language a great experience. She's wonderful; I definitely recommend her! :)

Frau Spina, is the cutest, most positive, helpful, caring ,traveled, intelligent, and stylish professor I have ever had the pleasure of taking! She makes the harsh and difficult German language enjoyable and learnable! The worst thing to come out of me taking her class, is that I know I will never have a language professor as amazing as her again!

Professor Spina was VERY helpful throughout the semester! She would help you if you need it just ask. She doesn't mind going over the material again if you didn't understand it the first time. Professor Spina was really amazing. Even though I had a good background in French, I had a lot of fun relearning the basics with her. She is really understanding and ready to help you out. She is so nice, even when she's correcting your grammarpronunciation. Take this course if you're a beginner, or just need a language credit.

She is awesome! She makes class fun and memorable. I have learned so much in her class! Tests can be a little challenging, but not hard, and she prepares you for it sufficiently. Lots of practice, examples, etc. in class.
