Comment:

Professor Kalpidou is really helpful in that she often uses plenty of real world examples to connect to the concepts, so if you pay attention studying for her exams is easy. For the virtual child assignments she is very specific in what she wants. She takes off points when you write too much beyond the question so be careful!

Her class is extremely difficult, especially for a 100 level class. Her tests are worded completely different than her notes, making it very hard to do well. Lectures are long and the class gets boring, but don't lose focus or you're screwed.

I loved Kalpidou as a professor and how she interacted with us while presenting her powerpoint slides. She makes the lectures go by faster than you would think! Make sure you participate because it makes the class go by much faster and will bring up your participation grade!

Is a great teacher. willing to help if you ask for it. Her class will seem difficult if you dont study but if you do it is manageable. There are only a few test but studying is mandatory!!! Takes attendance before every class so make sure to show up. I enjoyed the class alot and I recommend her class

Very organized and very nice. Sometimes she gets a little frustrated if your unclear but a sweetheart. Tests can be hard if you do not study but if you do you'll generally do fine and she gives a lot of extra credit. I will definitely take another one of her classes.

I took Professor Kalpidou for Child Development and she was AWESOME! She knows how to keep the class intrigued, and is a fair grader. Do the work, study for the tests and you will get an A. Even if you fall a little behind she offers extra credit. Take her!

Very nice, everything comes from class slides. I opened the text book once in an entire semester, she says it helps to study but I did fine on her tests w/o using it. gives you the essays before the test which helps, but must know information beyond the essays to do well on her tests. 4 tests, no final, and a poster project, I would take her again

she's so sweet! we had one group presentation and three tests. The tests were based only on her powerpoints; they were a little difficult but if you study hard you'll do well She's a great professor who really knows her stuff, take her!

Such a nice woman. She explains everything you need to know, you barely have to use the book. She only gives 2 projects (which are group projects) and a few tests (with only material that she explained in class). She's really helpful and understanding. I don't understand how anyone could possibly call her mean, do your work and you'll get an A.

Very nice lady - hard grader. It is important to show up to class because everything draws from her slideshow presentations. I didn't really use the book except when studying for exams. There were two exams pretty tough - a lot of memorizing from class slides. If you participate in class she will be happy with you. I learned a lot in this class.

She got on my last damn nerves. She expects way too much from her students and grades way to hard for no damn reason. This class was very interesting, but she needs to go learn some proper english and understand that this is a 100-level class not a 300-level where the students have more knowledge of the subject.

Fairly intresting class, mostly notes from power point with some examples from videos thrown in. 3 exams, 1 paper, a debate and a presentation are the only things to do. Grades VERY hard on tests and paper. Has really high expectations about what we should remember for each test. Very nice lady, though.

She lectures, uses power point presentations, handouts, and personal examples. Lots of notes, however the notes are clear, definite, and not hard to get down. The tests are multiple choice and two essays from a list of essay questions she gives you ahead of time. You have one paper, one debate, and one journal presentation. You will learn a lot.
