Normally an A student, dropped after 2 weeks of class where we didnt do a single example or anything other than theory, which isnt on the exams. Talked the whole time; never repeated important concepts or explained new terms. Legit told the TAs the mark labs "extremely hard". His "notes" are useless, no clue what he said the whole 2 weeks.

Really tough class, but he knows what his students are capable of. He will go to great lengths to ensure you are understanding the material, so if you do not get it just ask. Attend tutorials, and practice lots. Great guy and the only class and only prof I like in the chem department.

Comment:
His notes are all theory which makes them completely useless for assignments or the exams. You're better off staying at home and read the textbook. "If you know the definition then you should know the formula." I don't think that works for any normal person when the formulas get complicated.

Very intelligent prof. He definitely is very familiar/understands all of the theory really well. Sometimes I find the lectures way too theoretical with lots of derivations ... it's hard to apply that to the practical calculations/questions. When approached for help though, he's really good and always willing to take the time to help you understand.

Dr. Kinrade is a nice man, and a very intelligent prof. If you go to tutorials you'll do fine - don't study from your notes. They're useless except for broader understanding. He can be very unapproachable and rude. I'm not his biggest fan.

He is a great prof, but the course is hard. You can't study from last years exam because he makes it completely opposite. Study from his notes, and GO to the tutorials and you should do fine. He is great as a prof and person. Always willing to help

Really, I can't believe some people think this guy is intelligent. He's not a moron or anything - but not really very smart. Boring with a capital B. Worries to much about how he looks. Also - suffers from short guy syndrome.

Nice guy, focus' on his research, intelligent, I wouldn't know because i don't go. This class is a waste of time and should teach the whole course in half a year. Go to the tutorials and labs and you'll do fine.

He is no doubt very intelligent, but instructing is his weak point. He can't explain anything to the level of which you need for his tests.
