A passionate man, seems like a nice guy, but a bad professor. He acts like we're all theologians. I read a homework answer right from the book and he still felt the need to correct me. Do the homework-5 questions every week-the test is the homework questions. He's a hard test grader, only 5/25 people got a passing grade. Very long chapters.

He is very unhelpful. Probably the worst class I've ever taken. It was an online class but he assigned everyone a group paper at the last minute. I strongly recommend everyone to stay away from taking his class.

I took Johannine Lit my last semester of college to avoid taking Christian Marriage. This was one of the toughest non-science courses I studied, but it was 100% worth it. It improved my critical reading & writing skills as well as great appreciation of theology. Talk to him bc he's willing to help! I was liberated and enlightened! (Bio major)

If you get to know him, he will expect more from you. I took 3 or 4 of his undergrad classes and one of his graduate classes. he is extremely intelligent and very helpful. But he did expect more from me than those who were first time students.

I'll make it simple: don't take this class. Tons of reading, final paper of monumental proportions, and I don't even know if he can teach because he was muttering the entire class! He voice is low and boring; I was lucky the class was late in the day or I would've been gone since his voice puts you to sleep.

Drop all of his classes. Not a good professor and his classes are really hard and not fun at all. Don't even give him a chance. I recieved a "B" in the class but worked really hard for it. I will never take him again. Drop all his classes if you have him. Don't wait to long to drop.
