He subbed for my class for two days and I was amazed. He has quite a legacy in the psych department for being an amazingly loving and kind person, but I was shocked that he also seemed like the most knowledgeable and wise professor I have had too. His lessons not only taught the subject matter but changed the way you thought. Wish he'd un-retire.

I've taken 5 different classes of his and he is by far the best teacher I've had and ever will have. Unfortunately he is retiring after the spring semester. He is so sincere and caring words can't even explain. I'm sad to see him go but happy for him as well!

I don't ever grade teachers on this site but I just had to for this teacher because I think that everyone needs to know how awesome of a man Mark Rafter is, and everyone should have the privlige of taking one of his courses. He is the most caring & sincere person you will ever meet, and becaue of him I have figured out what I want to do in life!

Mark Rafter is THE best teacher I have ever had!! He's also one of the most caring, most sincere people I have ever met. No one can dislike him...you definitely will not regret taking one of his classes!! He really cares about people, which is really refreshing...

I love Mr. Rafter! He is such a nice man and teaches you a lot about life. I highly recommend him for any class. The quizzes are way easy (he uses the questions from the website!) study those and you'll be FINE!

VERY sweet guy, but also very disorganized. 5 quizzes and 1 exam the whole semester plus some assignments which are entirely based on your personal opinion. Textbook not needed. Cancelled class about 4 times this semester. Easy A.

good teacher. very kind and informative. but his classroom is really cold. anyway, the course was simple yet informative, and you can tell he cares about his students. he was a little flaki this semester, but from what i've heard, it was family issues.

Awful in terms of educational effectiveness. The course structure is extremely easy: textbook not needed; course/text website provided all the info necessary to pass; his conjured up quizes were based on lecture, often easy, but unclear as to what to expect. Absences were ridiculous this semester.

Great lectures when he is there. Flakey, missed alot of classes and didn't post the grades when he said he would. Never really knew where we stood in the class (grades)because he never gave our tests back to us. Meaningful lectures but just wasn't there enough.
