probably worst teacher I've had at hofstra. doesn't care even the slightest bit about this class. didn't show up to 2 out of the 3 tests we had, had many typos on the tests, reads off slides. tests are always on stuff you didn't learn. take a different professor for abnormal psych if you can. definitely wouldn't recommend him

Good professor who seemed to know what he was talking about. However, the tests weren't very straight forward, he never gave out review sheets for them so you really didn't know what to study, and there was only 3 all semester long. Which means many chapters on each so lots of material, and those are the only things you are graded on.

I remember taking him and the class was suppose to be easy. His tests always have two right answers, which is beyond irritating. However, he helped me out. My test grades averaged to a C, and I did his extra credit and got a B. DONT GIVE UP.

I do not know where to begin. For starters, he always lets his class out early and is always checking his watch (which may seem great, but with a course such as Abnormal, formal instruction is needed to fully understand the material). He emails a very subjective review sheet a few days before the test that contains most of the information on exam.

Do not take this teacher, he should be fired from Hofstra. By all means, he is a smart guy, but does not teach his students. His tests, forget about it. So hard even if you read word from word from the book. He makes up his own questions which has some meaning to the texbook and lecture, but he never taught it and its really tricky. Conclusion- AVO

Not a great professor by any means. He is very innappropriate to students who ask questions, and it seems like most of them don't like him. His teaching is very unclear. I took extensive notes and I felt as though NONE of it was on the test. The tests are so tricky, you're better off not attending, and just reading the textbook on your own.

Hands down the worst teacher I have had at Hofstra.He refuses to help his students and class is extremely boring and repetitive.His notes are absolutely horrible and his teaching method is boring.He makes very interesting subject matter a dread.Has no personality and his grading policy is horrible.

Serper is great. His lectures are always clear, he shows lots of videos, and he usually lets class out a little early. His tests are all multiple choice, but they are tricky so attendance and studying are important. I would take him again.

This guy is the MAN! He shows a video pretty much every class about interviews with mentally ill people, and is very entertaining and funny. Don't take him if you're dumb, because it'll go over your head, but he's really really nice. He even helped me get some research experience. If you want to be a psychologist, TAKE HIM!

He is one moody guy, but I still ended up liking him. His teaching ranges from amazing to horrible. It really depends on how he is feeling that day. I would say that he is good for grad students but I probably would not recommend him for undergrads.
