Tip to do well is to introduce yourself and speak up in class!! She loves those who participate and who demonstrate they are hard workers. Never be afraid to ask questions. I agree, she's a better doc prof. She knows her stuff when it comes to docs. Her suggestions have been mostly very helpful. She can be quite flaky though, but just bear with her. As long as you try in her classes, she'll like and respect you.

I took two classes of Marsha's, one in 2nd year, and her 4th year TV Doc class. I even left a sour message about her after 2nd year on this board. I must say, she's a lot better for TV Doc than Intro to TV Journalism. Or maybe she brushed up on her teaching skills between now and then. Either way, a noted improvement. But where' she from?!

You only say that because she gives hard marks and tells students the truth. She really knows her stuff and is interesting and enthusiastic and makes everything so clear. She is an awesome teacher who will do anything to help her students. I learned so much in her class.

What a stupid and ridiculous teacher. I have learned NOTHING in this class. A waste of my money to even be in her class. She's not passionate and she's not a good teacher because she's not teaching us anything. She doesn't even care about her students,doesn't care what we do. Tells us afterwards about what she wants for assignemtns. WORST TEACHER!

When she speaks to you, you feel like it's kindergarten all over again. She is a very sweet woman and is there to help. Her critiques are valid and worth taking note of if you plan to join the TV world. She LOVES when people speak up in class. Good luck!

Suddenly leaps out of her shell, becoming passionate, articulate, and involved, in third year: in second year I was doubtful, but it seems she was waiting for us to choose our streams before investing in us on a personal level, which she did.
