You will prob pass this class because of the curves. If you want to learn, you will have to put in the work. He is a good teacher, but goes very fast and will leave you behind unless you speak up. There are 3 hard tests but he curves about 20 points for each. The rest of the grade is homework, case studies and a r paper, which are effort based

He does curve generously and you will likely pass but it may affect your GPA. Difficult class, if you don't like to study you will not pass. Exams consist of mainly CPA exam questions and contain two problems that are similar to class problems, very difficult. Final exam is cumulative. He gives you old exams to study from which is very helpful.

I had professor Freedman in 1983 - 1984. What I learned in his class has helped me so much over these decades. I obtained not only a solid understanding of the fundamentals, but also a unique perspective and mindset about what financial accounting should mean in the overall context. If you work it diligently, it can make your career.

Class involved a ton of reading!!! Some topics were incredibly boring, others were fascinating! I felt like he was a good teacher but was a little overbearing with his political views. Nevertheless, I do think I learned a lot in this class and I am glad it was part of my major.

Honestly he is extremely hard, but I will admit that I learned a lot from his class. You will fail this course if you do not put the time in to study DAYS prior to the exam. He does curve grades. Exams are primarily CPA questions and there are two problems that are similar to the problems worked on in class. I would take him again if I had to.

Basically he did a very short lecture where he glanced over the main topics in the book. Most of the class was spent going over HW problems, which we would spent a half an hour on and get an answer that would be different from the book. It was frustrating. I didn't learn much. For the tests, study 80% off of the Coursepacket.Especially the problems

Excellent teacher. He obviously KNOWS and LOVES accounting. His lectures are interesting and he encourages class participation. Warning: If you don't like accounting or you don't like studying a lot, don't take him because his tests are HARD... he has high standards and he expects you to achieve them.

One of the best teachers at TU. I took 301, 302, and 303 with Mr. Freedman. Exams are hard, but if you do the HW, it's harder to fail them. Take him! It is not gonna be very easy, but you will learn a lot!

Great professor! The best I?ve had since coming to Towson. Material was really difficult but Freedman made it understandable. Good sense of humor too. Exams are tough but use the practice exams he gives you, doing HW helps a lot as well. 2 research papers, and about 6 ethics cases (one in which you will present). Take him, you will learn a lot!

HORRIBLE...cant understand his hand writing for nething. You cant listen to understand and take notes at the same time. Its one or the other. Take the time to decifer his writing to have good notes or site there and listen to understand...sorry not both.

Horrible teacher. Cant understand him. He teaches so fast like its a review. His hand writing is incomprehensible.We asked him to write on the chalkboard or type it,he did for a week then went back to using his pen on the projector...rediculous. Your either trying to decifer his handwriting to have notes or listening to understand...not both.

At this point, you're either all in or all out when it comes to accounting. No matter who teaches this class, you have to say goodbye to your social life. Make sure to do all the homework, go to him for the answers, and try to anticipate what's going to be on the test. This class could have been a lot worse if somebody else was teaching.

Freedman is a great teacher. His handwriting is hard to read but when you get past that what a great class! I learned a ton and he is always there to help with any problems you have. The content is hard but hey were accounting majors, if you cant handle it change you major dont complain about the teachers!
