You don't actually have to go to class to do well. Just skim the book, focusing on what's in his lecture outlines (on his website). Yeah there are "pop" quizzes but they're online! Just be sure to check the website once a week. And you're allowed to miss 2 of the 6 quizzes anyway. I attended 4 classes and got an A. I'd recommend it.

This class was really boring. The lectures are all online, but you still need to go to EVERY class because of the pop quizzes that he gives. The tests aren't very clear. People say you do well if you know all the boldface words, but that isn't really the case.

This class isn't sooooo bad. Everyone is making out to be worse than it really is. Do the reading.... go to most of the classes.... you will do fine.... i missed more then a few classes of his and as long as you read the book.... KNOW ALL WORDS IN BOLD.... you should have no problem

This class is terrible. Don't take it! The professor is extremely boring and sounds exactly like Ben Stein (just read the book and you can learn all of this on your own). The fact that attendance counts underestimates students and only adds to the misery of this 9:05 class. Ewww.

Don't take his class. Just don't do it. Seriously. It's a waste of time. Not only are the lectures a regurgitation of the text book in an overly complicated, pompous way, but NEVER before have I heard a more boring man speak. Take the class if you want to nap. BORING AS WHITE BREAD.
