Professor Miritellos main goal is to see her students become better writers, she grades on your effort to your progress of doing that. Honestly, give your best and youll be successful in her class. Giving your best is all she asks. Shes old school. Not a breeze, but youll become a better writer in the end. I recommend her to most Freshmen.

Professor Miritello is a great teacher. She's very understanding and makes class fun. I always look forward to Professor's class. Professor cares about her students. She guides us to improve our writing and always makes time to help. She also inspires you to ask questions which have helped tremendously when it comes to writing papers and learning.

She is one of those teachers that are very passionate about their topic. Very nice lady kind of the teacher you make fun of, but not really. Hard to explain. You don't need the books, we don't use them in class nor for homework really. She gives good feedback and is only a slow grader when big papers are turned in. She is very passionate.

This professor was really nice and she cared about her students but she gave a lot of assignment and made WRD 104 really hard. I tried so hard in her class and did all my assignment but I still did not get a good grade. I recommend to anyone to take another professor for WRD 104 because it's really hard to get an A or B in her class. NEVER AGAIN!

Prof. Miritello really cares about her students, maybe a bit too much since most people aren't as passionate as she is about writing. She has lots of spirit and emotion and is just a very caring person. Yes, there is a lot of work, but this is college - get used to it. I would say participate and give your all and she will help you.

Do not take this class if you are not a serious student! She is a very good professor. But I WARN YOU. THIS IS NOT AN EASY CLASS!! If your looking to have another blow off class, this one with her is not that. She gives ALOT of papers, has high expectations and will grade your work very thoroughly.

Miritello grades on effort, so as long as you try in the course, you'll probably earn a good grade. Her teaching style can be sort of annoying though because she cares a lot about "deep learning" and will get frustrated if you don't meet her passion. For WRD 103, only get the Norton Field Guide. You don't use the other textbooks.

Half the time she talked with her eyes closed and the other time she was rambling on about something. Did not get to things she planned to do during class because she would ramble on about other things. Very inconsistent grader, and does not give helpful feedback at all! I would never take her again.

She rambles a lot. Usually doesn't has enough time to talk about what she made us do for homework. Mentioned that she doesn't want us to think that she gives a lot of work but really she does. Overall, she's a sweet and funny lady but I would't take her again.

Says she wants us to be creative on assignments but then turns around and goes "oh don't do that". What she is looking for in assignments are extremely vague, but if you don't put down what she wants to hear you will get deducted. She rambles off topic a lot, which is a good waste of class time but she guilt trips the class on occasion.

Professor Miritello is an EXCELLENT professor. She honestly cares about her students and wants them to succeed. Energetic little woman, who just wants to improve you as a writer. Very understanding & willing to help. Many extended deadlines, assignments are a bit vague but you get out of the course what you put in. Earned 90+ on all of my papers.

She is honestly the worst professor I have had at DePaul. We did not learn anything about how to write a research paper and were just expected to know. She does not give any helpful comments on papers. She says vague things such as "write with more of your voice" or "frame your ideas better" but gives no helpful suggestions. STAY AWAY!!!!!!!!!

She is the cutest old person you will ever meet. I wish she was my grandma too! Sometimes, her homework assignments are straight up busy work, but she is super helpful when the assignments get harder. I highly recommend her to first year students.

Loved having her as a teacher! She is always happy to be in class and gets off on random tangents and ends up telling stories. I wish she was my grandma! My favorite teacher and class of my first quarter of college and would definitely recommend taking her. Usually doesn't have too high of expectations and is very helpfull.

She is sooo happy to be in class with her students and tells the stupidest stories but she really is such a cute lady! She must read all the novels cover to cover in order to pass her pop quizzes and write the papers well. The novels are pretty interesting so its not too diffucult to read. Very sweet lady and easy class only if u read!! Take her!
