Comment:

Frau Wauchope is one of the kindest professors I've eve had! She tries to make sure everyone understands the material. Lectures are easy to understand and homework isn't too difficult. If you do the homework and quizzes in class, you will do well on the chapter tests.

Wauchope is so sweet, one of my favorite professors. 6 chapter tests but dozens of vocab quizzes, nothing difficult. Only out-of-class assignment is the workbook for each chapter. We had some people constantly talk over her or not pay attention but she never once lost her temper. A little technically challenged with computer. Hope to have her again

Frau Wauchope is the most caring professors I have had. She genuinely wants you to succeed. She always gives good feedback and encourages you to do your best. The class is pretty easy as long as you pay attention. I am pretty bad at languages, but she made it enjoyable and pretty easy to understand.

I took German-150 instead of Euro-101 and I'm so glad I did. The class covers German culture/identity from postWWII till now. We watched at least 6 movies in class in the semester and read 2 novels in increments as hw. There are 3 individual presentations/papers (your choice). VERY easy, enlightening class. Passionate, positive, lovely professor

Frau Wauchope is an incredibly nice professor, unfortunately we had some people-four guys, I think they were all couples- who took advantage of that and were extremely bothersome in class. That aside Frau Wauchope is incredibly patient and helpful. Tests are not easy, but passable.

European Film. 2 take home essay exams, and 1 essay about a film outside of class. Easy if you're a good essay writer. I'm not incredible and managed a B. Interesting films. She is a little "loopy" in a sense, but she tries so hard to get group participation. If you talk a lot in discussion, you'll do better because you actually learn from it.

This was a European film class. The movies we watch are enough to make the most open minded of you blush. Just 3 papers, easy grader. If movies about little, gay boys from Belguim or Spanish nuns getting impregnated by transvestite prostitutes with AIDS and getting a good grade are you're thing, take this class.

Wauchope is the sweetest prof ever! First one I had at State, still my fave. Little flaky, but that's probably the best thing about her! Definitely approachable (she's my major advisor) and willing to help with almost anything. See her about study abroad in Germany too!!!

Mary Wauchope is by far one of the most passionate and caring teachers I've ever had. She's super sweet and funny (reminds me of a Kindergarten teacher.) I wish I could take all of my German classes with her. The class atmosphere is completely relaxed, making it easy to speak in front of the class.

love this prof! she's always happy and makes the class fun even when it gets confusing. the only big project is the culture project and it's super easy. the quizzes are usually harder than the tests though, but there's a lot of quizzes so no stress. lots of homework too.
