Comment:

Cant get above a C on his tests. For the final he had 2 of them and I was in the proctoring lab. He advised the class to only do 30/80 questions on the first exam and I never wasnt informed so I did all of them and went to take the second test and I was locked out, he wouldnt let me take it and decided he would give me a 45/70. WORST PROFESSOR

There are four test and a final given. Test are very hard, you have to study A LOT for them. Great teacher though, gives real-life experiences which is great. Learned a lot about early education in this class. Lecture heavy, every class period you just sit and listen to the class.

Don't get me wrong, Dr. Bell knows what he is talking about. The class was just very difficult. The tests were very hard and he is a tough grader. Sometimes the lectures were difficult and you need to do a lot of reading of the textbook outside of class. Attendance and being on time is absolutely mandatory

Dr. Bell is the most down to earth professor I have ever had. He really cares about each of his students and I enjoyed coming to classes! his tests are really hard-so don't take his class unless you are willing to put hours of studying in!! I would take this class again if I could!

Bell definitely knows what hes talking about, but is not the nicest man youll ever meet. He has no sympathy. My friend was in the hospital for an extended period of time and did not help her at all. Wouldnt even accept a doctors note. His tests are also impossible. You can study for days and still only get a B if youre lucky. Take a dif prof.

He obviously cares A LOT about producing good teachers, however even though his tests are multiple choice, sometimes it is hard to figure out the answers even if you read the exact part of the text book that it comes from. He also has very strong viewpoints and tells a lot of personal stories about his kids that left a bad taste in my mouth.

Dr. Bell has been one of my biggest inspirations when it comes to becoming a teacher. He is so passionate in teaching and makes you want to be the best you can be! YOU NEED YOUR BOOK! Do the readings, participate, and get to know this guy! He will help you succeed to be the best teacher you can be! I learned more in this class then any others!

Dr. Bell's class is a roller coaster ride. He speaks quickly and speeds through the material. Come to class, pay attention, and READ THE TEXTBOOK and you should be fine. Genuinely think he cares about his students, but pays you no mind if you're not serious about your academics/being a teacher. Difficult class but has bettered me in the long run.

Loved him! He makes an effort to get to know everyone, if you have the chance go to his office hours and talk to him, he is so nice. His class is hard, make sure you study and put in a lot of effort.

Best professor I've had. He cares about his students and his job and he isn't just there to get paid. He has a lot of experience and knows his stuff. While teaching he gives good real life examples that stick with you and help you remember concepts. The class is hard if you make it hard, study, read the book, pay attention in class!!!!

Dr. Bell is a nice man, he genuinely enjoys teaching and sharing his knowledge. He is very knowledgeable, BUT he chooses favorites and if youre not one of them, you will get a significantly lower grade than the favorites in the class. Also, everything said turns into a story. Huge time waster hearing about things that dont apply to class.

Dr. Bell is the best! I was a little intimidated by him at first, but when you have a conversation with him, you realize that he really cares about education and his students. Attendance is absolutely mandatory and he relates his lectures to real-life, which is a plus! Tests are difficult though, so make sure you study for them.

Dr. Bell is a real gem. There are so few professors that care so much for their students as much as he does. He wants everyone to succeed 100% and even though his class is incredibly challenging, if you do the work, you will succeed, and nothing made me happier than making him proud.

This man tells stories for half of the class, you will not learn anything. If you even want to pass his test you have to read the book and even then its not a guarantee that you will pass. I know more about his kids then I do the subject. Just bottom line don't take him 0/10 would recommend. Look at the comments on here with the most likes....

Apparently you can't talk about favorites on this website but you can rate your professor's appearance... Okay... But get ready for storytime 101! You need to book to pass because he never teaches, and even then he "disagrees" with the book so that won't even be foolproof! He doesn't hand anything back and lectures poorly, take someone else.

The BEST teacher I've ever had. He's a great professor and a genuine good person. He really cares about all his students and wants them to do their best. He also grades kinda easy. Definitely take him if you have the chance to. I remember reading these reviews before signing up for the class and now I'm writing my own because he's really that great

Dr. Bell is honestly the best! He has so much experience and knowledge about childhood development and he is really passionate about teaching! His tests are hard, but that's because he pushes us to reach our full potential! He has so many connections that are resourceful for future teachers! Dr. Bell is great professor! He gives a lot of useful insight to education and is very passionate about what he does! You do have to do your work and take it seriously. He is very busy so you may have to email him a few times but he is more than willing to help you! You just have to do your part and he will definitely help!

Comment:

Good teacher & nice guy. Tends to waste some class time and talks about himself a lot. Tests are difficult but sometimes lets us take them on our own, outside of class. He is always looking to brighten someones day. Helpful when you ask for help and has many connections when it comes time for observations, etc. No homework besides studying notes.
