Comment:
I had the privilege of taking Professor Fuller's archaeology class thirty years ago, and now I've taken his World Religions class, and these were two of the best classes I have taken. His enthusiasm and knowledge of his subject come through in everything he does. I enjoyed seeing the lectures he gave in the online course.

This professor was very disorganized. He was not clear in his syllabus or throughout the course. Also, at the end of the semester I was having an issue with my grade through Blackboard. I emailed him about it and he sent me a very rude message back and never looked into the issue.

Comment:
The pros are that the professor is very good at responding to emails quickly which is important for an online course. There was no textbook required. He posted some videos of his lectures online which were very interesting. The cons were he posted scholarly articles that were very long and boring. Don't take expecting an easy class, it's not.

If you are into the subject of archaeology, he is the perfect professor for you. If you aren't then you will be bored. He shows movies that are sometimes interesting and he assigns essays every week. Avoid him if you're not interesting in learning about different tribes.

Great lecture voice, very entertaining. He clearly loves what he does. If you attend the lectures and use his quiz study guides, you can't fail. He offers extra credit by attending various off-site lectures that are fun anyway. He doesn't use textbooks, instead he posts videos and readings on Blackboard.

Worse teacher I have ever had. If you are a science major, this guy will drive you crazy talking about superstition, ghosts, and whatnot.I got an A in his course...it is an easy course..But if possible I suggest avoiding him.

He loves archaeology and will spend half the class telling stories (that end up on the test) but you somehow end up learning tons! Great class. Great teacher. Very little homework, tests are usually open book.

He is an awesome teacher and extremely interesting. Can be a little over enthusiastic at times but it makes you laugh so no harm done. His tests are online and open book yet they are still pretty hard. His bad grammar can be a little bit annoying but you deal with it. Great teacher overall and I'm glad I decided to take his class

Professor Michael Fuller made the Anthropology 104 Field Methods in Archaeology a very informative and challenging experience. First we started of with some on campus lectures spelling out general topics and history of archaeology - then we began going to various locations to perform actual excavations. The hands on learning experience was great.

He is EXTREMELY unorganized and takes 4-5 days to respond to a simple question. He constantly tells you to use Credo Reference (A database), and then deducts points when you cite references found on it.The questions and study guides are riddled with grammatical errors, I have no idea how he earned his Ph.D. He needs to take the class more seriously

Online class. Good overview of world religions. Love for archeology apparent. I appreciated having the text online. His materials need a proofreader. Could choose better file types for ease of access (e.g. files embedded within files = ugh).

He is really into the subjects he teaches, loves to share personal stories, and tries to make it interesting. He wants you to learn, but isn't super-demanding. I wasn't interested in his primal minds class before I enrolled, but after taking Dr. Fuller I had some new ideas about the humans and the evolution of culture. Good class.

He is VERY passionate about his subject and is willing to listen to arguments about his views. The class has a very obvious message, but he doesn't force it on you. He is very willing to help. The material is dry, occasionally, but he makes it interesting.
