Comment:

One of the best math professors I have had at UCF. I am a Math major, but I am more of an applied person and proofs are not my thing. So taking Advanced Calculus (which is ALL proofs) was one of the classes I wasn't looking forward to. Dr. Brigham however was an amazing teacher. He really took his time on EVERY proof so the class understands.

Difficult tests. He has a test review which is basically useless. He lectures straight proofs from the book, but goes into huge detail about each step in a proof, which is great. Expects you to have just about every hw problem / proof in the book down and ready for a test. Everything is game. All problems are up for grabs on tests. Super nice guy!

I've taken many classes in quite a few departments at UCF and I can say confidently that Dr. Brigham is the absolute best professor I've had. He's extremely clear, helpful, and passionate about the subject, and if you're in his class, you'll love the subject too. Even if you need to rearrange your schedule to have a class with him, it's worth it.

I can't stress this enough: TAKE THIS GUY! If you have him as your professor, you are one of the few lucky ones to have this great man. He is crystal clear in his teaching, Extremely fair on grading, and gives more than 3 tests/semester (gave 6 my semester, when was the last time a math teacher gave you 6 tests?) Has a great sense of humor to boot!

Best professor I've ever had. Explains concepts clearly, gives nice hints with the HW, grades extremely fairly and is always wiling to help. Dr. Brigham has a wonderful sense of humor and he makes linear algebra fun, interesting, and understandable. I couldn't recommend him more highly.

I have never had a better, more caring professor. Linear Algebra is a pretty rigorous course, and if you're not comfortable with proofs you'll have a hard time, but Dr. Brigham really cares about his students, not just getting through the class. It's a shame he's retired, because I'd take him for every class if I could.

Great teacher, speaks PERFECT ENGLISH. Not some cheap import from Asia that barely speaks English. Book is essential. Test questions pulled out of class notes. Class notes pulled out of book. Drops lowest test grade. Pretty sure curves final grade. Extremely helpful during office hours. Definitely take this guy.

Best professor ever! Tests were extremely fair, and grading was also very fair. Homework assigned is very helpful but not required. He's funny which makes the class more interesting. Definately take him!

I had this class back when i was a freshman, and his class was hard, and the labs were time consuming, but i learned alot and it helped in the long run, he is really helpful, i went to his office for help all of the time, i still keep in contact and get recomendations from him

VERY VERY difficult, but I think it has more to do with the course, and that he was you to excel, but hard non the less. Very nice person, and helpful, but it is one of the hardest classes I've had, switched major soon after.
