Boring. Boring. Boring. Reads straight from PowerPoint slides, and covers a million topics yet none in-depth. Tests would be slightly hard, but he includes basic math problems in all of them that a monkey could figure out without knowing the topic. Class requires some effort, but not much. It's just incredibly hard to stay awake in his class. zzzzz

This man is not a very good teacher. He is not clear on any thing he tries to convey to his students. He grades very very hard. I studied and took notes along with recording lectures. No matter how perfectly you complete an assignment he will find stupid things to ding you on. Also He will ding you more than once on things and not correct it.

this man is a horrible teacher. actually he doesn't teach at all. he reads right off the power points and doesn't know how to answer questions if you have any. he does all the problems in excel so you have no idea what's going on unless you're a CIS major.

This class is crazy... It will take all you have to stay awake durring lectures.. Murray is way pased retirement.. The project is so unclear.. I would avoid this class at all costs.. Take someone else.. Maby they can make a dry topic interesting.

Poor Murray could'nt keep anyone awake during class with his ramblings and jumbled way of teaching.Very unclear on just about everything(project, assignments, lectures).He loves to keep the class 5-10 minutes after its time to go.Endure the lectures, and study the powerpoints and u'll be fine

Often times helpful. Spends most of his time helping us out with problems, but only because he doesnt really explain it well the first time. nice guy, but honestly needs to quit reading lectures off powerpoint slides and hoping your students will understand what the world you are talking about.

I don't know what everyone else is talking about - this guy is great. He's helpful and understanding. Granted, the material isn't very interesting but there's nothing you can do to avoid that. He's a great prof, you just have to do your assignments.
