Professor Penn is just an amazing person in general. He is so cultured and shares the most intriguing stories (not like some cultured profs who seem to show off..) This class was the best I've taken at F&M because of Penn. He is incredibly encouraging and uplifting. FND129 was difficult, but I left every class smiling because of Penn.

Do yourself a favor and get to know this man. He is the most sincere, genuine, interesting, most wonderful person I have ever met in my life. The stories he randomly tells about his life are reason alone to take his class.

fantastic professor, really really is an amazing person with great stories and keeps students involved, and a feeling that leaves you wanting more. One class a week isn't enough.. by far the most personally relevant course i've ever taken.
