Dr. Saunders is one of my favorite professors at JMU. This class is 85% lecture, 4 tests, and 15% lab so doing well in lab helps. His tests are straight from the powerpoints BUT you have to go to class and take notes, his explanations help understand the concepts better. I struggled at first and he was very accessible outside of class to help me.

Great professor! Makes classes very interesting and is very knowledgeable. Will definitely work with you and meet outside of class. The only bad part of the class is that your grade is primarily composed of 4 relatively short tests, so getting an A is challenging.

Dr Saunders has been awesome! He explains each topic very well and also gives you a sport or exercise related example to refer to. Very few grades in this class but his tests are not difficult. Only down side is that his exams are only about 17 questions, so you can't get more than a couple wrong before your grade is really hurt.

Grade is based on four tests, but if you take good notes, they are fairly straight forward. Great lectures and he makes sure material is explained thoroughly. Gives lots of good examples.

Saunders is an amazing professor. You can tell he's very passionate about kinesiology and knows what he's talking about. He wants his students to do well and relates a lot back to personal examples. No homework, and 3 exams and a non-cumulative final. Wouldn't suggest if you're not a great test taker. Definitely recommend taking Saunders!

Dr. Saunders is such a smart man. He really knows what he is talking about and he really cares about his students. Sometimes his knowledge of the subject is his clutch because sometimes he doesn't know how to simplify something. Overall though he is a great professor would 100% take again.

Saunders is a great guy a super passionate about endurance exercise. A lot of what he teaches he relates back to his own life so that you can understand it better. He also knows quite a bit about exercise physiology and is willing to go over it in office hours. You have 3 paper assignments, one of which is a partner paper. You also have 3 tests.

Saunders is very passionate about exercise physiology and cares about his students. He is really interested in the lecture material and gives good applicable examples but can talk forever. Three assignments (1 long paper) and 3 tests with one counting as the non-cumulative final. Also includes an awesome field trip!

Dr. Saunders is the man! He is a great professor and is so passionate about kinesiology. He relates a lot of the material back to his personal cycling stories to make it interesting, he is also very helpful. His class can really drag on for a while and get boring. 4 tests, no homework. If you aren't a good test taker I would avoid.

Going to class and showing how much work you put in will really help in the end. I got a the worst grade I have ever received on the first test but worked really hard to bring it back up as the semester progressed and I believe that it showed when he was submitting final grades.

Dr. Saunders is great! He takes concepts and processes that should be complicated and simplifies them so they are very clear and easy to understand. He also relates everything to sports and exercise which is great for Kin majors. His tests are pretty easy if you go to class and pay attention which isn't hard if you're interested in kinesiology.

Looks a lot like Scott Hamilton... don't by the textbook. For this level course he is too smart for his own teaching good and sometimes goes way to fast for the class, and very very boring, but he wil lreview info and he lets you out 15 min early or so which is nice... you have to put in the effort as the information is hard to earn your grade.

Dr. Saunders makes his material make sense. He will try to explain anything for anyone. His exams are pretty tricky, but with going to class and some work, it's a class that's shouldn't be hard. Uses examples with cycling a lot, which actually is pretty cool and makes some material understandable. Funny guy.
