Comment:
Schinasi is good. I did not have to try that hard to get a solid grade. Lectures are boring but its very chill. If you miss more than 3 you get a grade reductions for each one after, 6 or more you fail. We did not do homework after the first 3 weeks or so, so that was a positive. I was not interested in the topics discussed but the class was fine.

Michael was fine. I dont feel as if Im ready for spanish 3 after taking him for 2, but oh well. He rambles a lot and if you have a quiz, he will give you the last 5 min of class to take it. Always late to my class and always held us over. He takes a while to grade material and get it back; just a mediocre prof in my opinion. Key to pass is vocab.

He talks off topic a lot and does not give out notes. There are no power-points for this class which makes it hard to learn for me. He does not tell you what to study for the most part. This class makes you teach yourself and there is no clear direction for this class. You are better off choosing another professor.

He speaks mostly in Spanish so if you have never taken a spanish class before or dont have background in basic spanish, find a different professor. Be prepared to be asked questions and have an answer in spanish. Sometimes hes scatter brained about topics. This class is difficult if you do not have experience with a foriegn language.

He can seem a little scatter brained sometimes, but he is a great teacher and if you need help he is there. Hate that he is going on sabbatical and I cannot have him for Span 1004.

He was pretty cool. He is really clear about what he expects. He calls students out a lot but he's not mean about it. I learned a lot.

He does call on people randomly, but you can say pass if you don't know the answer. He always is willing to answer questions and his grading is very fair. I didn't do so good on the first exam, but the 2nd and 3rd were A's. He gives vocab quizzes for each chapter. And homework is online through the textbook. The grades on Bb confuse me though.

Class wasn't bad. Online just didn't harvest a good learning environment in my opinion. There were many technical difficulties early on and due to not having an already strong grasp on the language I struggled to follow along. His homework and grade policy was a bit unclear and throughout the semester I was never really sure if I was doing well.

He was pretty entertaining to have in class, always telling off-topic stories, but not the best teacher when it comes to the language. No HW (except Quia) and I really expected more out of the course, because I want to learn the language, not just the culture. But if you're looking for an easy class, or for Schnasi. He's very flexible.

HARD CLASS, GREAT TEACHER. Yes he calls people out but its for your own benefit. If you have problems he is more than willing to put forth the extra time to help you work through it. Had this class online, attendance is a MUST! Tests are sometimes hard but the class was worth it.

He called out individuals to speak in class, but I learned so much more that way! I felt that the writing was graded on a skill level greater that that of the students... we would have to be highly proficient to get an A on speaking and writing tests. Not impossible to do okay, but I only ended up with a B.

Keeps you the whole time, every day. Has no lesson plan, he's all over the place. No notes, not much homework, just basically teaching yourself the material. Nice guy, HORRIBLE at teaching. I learned nothing. DONT TAKE HIM!!!!

If you have not taking spanish before do NOT take this class. He expects way too much. He calls you out in class and demands you to answer in complete spanish sentences. Hands out study guides for test that are not very helpful and test are very hard. I had a tutor and worked my butt off and got a C. Very hard class.

I tested into this class after taking two years of Latin 5 yrs ago in high school. He's tough on attendance and wants you to do your homework when given and not wait until the last minute. He also emails you constantly reminding you about tests and such, so there usually is no excuse for not getting your homework or project done. He's makes himself out to be harder than he really is, so if you need help, don't just sit back andwait for him-go to him! The more you go to him, the more willing he is to help.
