Probably the worst teacher in the entire CSE department. Do not ask him questions. He will yell at you. According to Dr. Liu, Floating Point Multiplication should be taught in high school math classes and an explanation of such is not worthy of his time. His English is incomprehensible. Go to class and read the book and his class can be easy.

"Can you give us an example of floating point multiplication?" Answer: "no" "Can you speak up?" answer: "no". Horrible horrible teacher can't understand a damn thing. Refuses to answer most questions.

Very generous in grading. Makes the average a B. The problem is, hes nuts. He sits up at the front of the room, sips a sprite in his purple shirt, spits on himself and giggles. Nothing is coherent at all. Read the chapter day before the test. Once told me to ask the grader because professors dont help "they administer tests" WTF?

Comment:
While he seemed to try hard to be understood, it is simply impossible to understand his quiet, heavily accented voice. This means he goes slowly in lecture and doesn't get through the necessary material, yet he still tests on all of it for the exams. I am hesitant to give negative ratings, but this is probably the worst experience I've had so far.

He talks to his feet, almost impossible to hear him (he mumbles) from more than 10 feet away. (I mean he literally talks while looking at his feet.)

Firstly, let me say that he is a nice guy. If you are willing to try and understand his explanation in terms of homework or test materials, you will find this class isn't that bad. But you MUST be prepared to do A LOT of self-study. And keep in touch with your TA/grader to discuss homework!

OK I can forgive the accent. But I can't forgive the volume of the voice that you can't even hear 2 feet away let alone 5 rows back in a class. He's a good teacher if you can understand him, very generous on the grading. Just nod your head when he mumbles

going to class is completely unneccesary as you cannot understand a word that he says. This may as well be an individual studies course with him teaching.

Chinese 103 should be a prerequisite class. Don't bother going to class because you can't understand a word he says. Just pray you can learn from the book.

This class might as well have been taught in Chinese. Probably the worst professor I've come across at OSU. Don't ask him any questions, cuz he won't know the answer and he'll start yelling at you.
