He is not very good at explaining concepts, but he works very hard to make sure the class is an easy A. He puts everything online, gives all the answers to the participation quizzes, and has reviews for the midterm and final so that students understand exactly what will be on it. Not good class for learning computer science though

Really easy class. Dr. Zhang does have a thick accent, but you get used to it after about a week or two. He's a pretty good lecturer, too. I'm not that great with technology, but this class was really easy for me.

His class was not mandatory but if you missed class, you weren't able to turn in your daily classwork which is a huge part of your grade. His test are easy because he goes over test reviews and tells you exactly what is on the tests. The class is easy as most of it is just following what he does on the screen and turning in your class/home work

Professor Zhang doesn't hardly speak any English so you can't understand what he's saying, let alone the content. Unless you're a die-hard comp science student this class will make you miserable. He is by far my least favorite prof so far

Dr. Zhang is not a very good professor. In class, he reads straight from the textbook. He is not helpful in office hours. All of the tests are multiple choice which is a sub par way of grading a computer science course. Avoid taking him if you can; however, the class is not terrible if you put in the work.

If you want an easy A then take his class. His test study guides are VERY similar to tests. He has an accent that is hard to understand sometimes.

If you have to take this class please take this with him its really easy. He literally reads you the textbook and you get an A for doing what he says. Every day in class you "log onto the scholar" and do the assignment he says. Tests are a joke and you just have to memorize the progress.

Ming Zhang is very enthusiastic and is excited to teach the class, even though he's horribly unqualified to do so. The class is an easy A if you just do the assignments, which are easy if you're familiar with Excel, and may be challenging otherwise. The only issue is that his tests are multiple choice, which are impossible to study for.

He cracked himself up every day during class. Be prepared to figure out words that he's made up to describe computer functions. As long as you do the project, the homework assignments, and the classwork then you should come out of the class with a solid B. Focus during his test reviews. He tells you the exact question and answer that will be asked.

So adorable, always so happy. EASIEST CLASS EVER. Take him if you want an easy A but not if you intend on learning a lot. Doesn't speak English well but he tries his best. Gives you answers to the quizzes, just show up and you'll get an A

Dr. Zhang is a good teacher. I feel like students give him a bad rap because of his accent. He is very clear on what he expects you to learn and turn in. He also goes over tests and will help you if you go to his office.

You don't learn in this class. And even worse, he doesn't care that you're not learning. Worthless, worthless, worthless. Either take a class with someone else or spend the entire time on facebook.

SO BORING I spend the entire class on facebook. If youre looking to learn find a different professor. if all you want is a junk class, hes your guy. we spent a class learning to connect to the internet, which no one reading this could POSSIBLY know how to do. if you take the class don't buy the book. the semesters almost over an i haven't opened it

If you want to succeed in a CPEN or CPSC major do NOT register for class with this teacher. He just shows you a powerpoint of a code then expects you to write your own perfectly. He literally hands out grades in order to keep his tenure. This has been the only class where I have ever failed a final...strangely, as my final grade I received a B.

Teaches strictly from powerpoint presentations, just tells the answer to in class quizzes and doesn't explain or let the students even attempt to get the answer on their own, homeworks all come with completed codes. The class is essentially "here is a picture of a 200 line java code. Now you are fully prepared to write your own perfectly!"

Its extremely hard to understand him at first but I definitely got a laugh out of many of the things he said. If you go to class, do the exercises and don't study for anything, you will get a B. It's easy and he gives you the answers to every quiz before you turn it in.

There is no substance to this class. Just copy and memorize his slides without learning the actual meaning of the material. Sure this is easy, but for someone genuinely interested in the topic this simply is unsatisfactory and downright lazy on his part. Clearly he is not interested in this class and whether or not we LEARN from it. Terrible class.

If you're looking for an easy 100 level computer science course, this one isn't bad. You'd basically have to fall asleep in class to not get perfect scores on the quizzes and exercises. Just study the powerpoint print outs for the tests and finals a bit and you should be in decent shape.
