The class should be easy but he doesn't know how to explain things and is bad at answering questions. Attending class is useless because he just reads off the slides (that he doesn't write himself). His tests are easy (he doesn't write them either) and the 10% bonus assignment is so easy its basically a free 10% if you do it.

Talked a little to quietly...Funny class to take...I was scared to ask questions because of the way he made other people look...Exams were decent but if you F****d up on one, you lost out on the rest...That sucked....All together, a decent prof

Obviously really knows his stuff, but his lectures are not logical, he arrives at numbers with no explanation, gives tests that don't reflect what was taught, and can't control the class. The project is good as a mark booster, but the overall feeling I got from this class was confusion not clarity.

Okay, the tests WERE multiple choice, but all linked together so screwing up meant screwing up big. Horribly boring instructor but knew his****...was not helpful (I asked) and it is really hard to see your exam if you want to...you only get your mark. He curves the marks though, so it's all good.

Take this class with him. It is a good grade booster if you put in the effort. Exams were all structured around his old stats 245 exams (including the final) plus there is a bonus assignment worth 10%. You may fall asleep but an openbook multiple choice exam is worth it.

Take stats 244 with Miket. His tests are easy (look at his old 245 tests), he tries to liven up boring material, and he makes sure the class has a 65 average. Also, a bonus project worth 10% is avaliable. This class makes a nice average booster. Kudos to Miket for mentioning this web site.

Gotta love his subtle sense of humor and his examples involving lobsters. Only trouble is he speaks too quietly sometimes. Class can be quite boring sometimes but that's the nature of the beast.
