Comment:

Best teacher at Towson University. Dr. Muniak is also one heck of an advisor. I am in the process of forming a Metro. Studies group on campus and Dr. Muniak has been helpful. This fall I will have my forth class with him. His attitude is always positive and his willingness to help you succeed is unmatched by any other professor.

I love this class. He really knows his stuff and makes it really interesting and relevant to students. He has tons of examples of everything he talks about to make it really clear. The videos are interesting. The textbook is really cheap and easy to read. I would definitely recommend this class.

Take this class! He made this class the most interesting class in the world, i even switched my major from business to metro studies. 3 tests, and they were exactly from class discussions and videos. He is one of those teachers that knows exactly what he's talking about and conveys topics perfectly.

Very interesting class. Used a lot of visuals that are important to know for tests. Text book is a short, easy read. He goes over whats important in class so you don't really have to read, but it's helpful. Definitely buy the book. Fun professor that makes the content relatable.

Professor Muniak is the absolute BEST! I just finished the course and it's bitter-sweet. There were some classes that were boring but I don't mind it considering how easy the class is. Muniak is a great person and teacher! Take his class; it's an easy A

I really enjoyed taking this class. Dr. Muniak is very opinionated and knowledgeable. I thought this class was easy, however, if you are a lazy student, stay away! Tests are based A LOT on the movies you watch in class, so pay attention and attend class. Also,READ the BOOK! He loves the book we used and discusses it frequently in class.

From the get-go he says this is a 101 class and that it'll be an easy A. but it's not. You watch a video almost every other if not every class that has absolutely nothing to do with the tests. Very opinionated and liberal man and thats made very clear in his lectures and tests and throughout the textbook. Take a different gen ed its not worth it

Muniak is the best teacher Towson has. He is down to earth and is easy to talk to. If you don't take one class with him then you are missing out of a crucial part of Towson. Its because of him that I took on the Metro Major.

He's a funny guy who knows alot. I thought this class was a joke so I didn't take notes or go sometimes and the midterm raped me. Definitely go and write down everything he says. Just studying the textbook will get you nowhere. Got an A on the final after getting a D on the midterm. PAY ATTENTION and TAKE NOTES. Only 2 tests and a paper

He's great! I learned a lot without doing much work. Just show up to class and listen, tests are easyand you don't really have to study. I had him for a MWF and the first day of class he cancelled EVERY friday class, no lie, we never met once on Friday. He took a subject that i knew nothing about and made it something simple and relevant.

Apparently the last poster can't read a 100 page book over the corse of the class. If you show up and read the 20-30 pages before the tests, you will get an A. And, its a really interesting subject. I am now getting a minor in Urban Planning.

He was an okay prof. He rambles from time to time and has a bit of an arrogant attitude, but i can't deny the fact that i learned alot in this class. However, be prepared to do a TON of reading and have an essay(s) for the final exam. Not too hard, but not easy.

Entire lectures are just newspaper clippings...good for real-world connections but gets boring so fast. Not my learning style at all, could have used more discussion or at least write important concepts on the board, it's hard to figure out what he's teaching and what he's just commenting on for his own amusement.

Very unorthodox teaching style. Muniak is a great guy, and his metro 101 class is easy. You probably won't learn very much, and he'll probably lose your attention more than once, but if you need the gened and want to learn about relevant material, take MTRO 101 with Muniak.

very nice man. very helpful and will answer all your questions. knows a lot about the subject but expects that you comming into the class do to. I knew nothing about the subject so i was lost and bored a lot but still passed the class with an A.
