I've never been interested in history unless I took her class, and now it's one of my favorite subjects. The tests are purely based on the notes you take from her lectures, and she reviews last classes' material at the start of every lecture. Before test day she'll answer any questions and has a straightforward study guide. STUDY FOR TESTS!

I didnt enjoy Prof. Biehlers class my main issue was the vague questions on tests. You have to understand her thought process rather than the material. Study guides help. She also was unprofessional in some of her interactions with students (she remarked on specific scores people had made in front of the class several times). Wouldnt recommend

Prof. Biehler is very strict and straight forward, but she is also honest and helpful. She covers all the test material during her lectures, and she's really willing to explain things and answer questions. Passing the class is easy, but if you want to get a good grade you have to work hard. Overall, I loved her class and would take it again.

She makes history interesting with her amazing story telling. I would retake her class just for that alone. However, she had about as many papers as my English Professor, and is a stickler for grammar. I also cant manage to get higher than a B+ on my tests... Im not the only one. Im on fire in class but her test questions are sometimes unclear.

She's a character, but in a good way. I highly suggest recording her lectures, and printing out all of the slides per unit ahead of time. She talks fast and is a story teller, so it's easy to miss stuff, and or get caught up on details that won't be on the exams. She wants you to do well, so pay attention and ask questions!

This class is terrible. DO NOT TAKE HER CLASS. She contradicts herself and is never clear on what she wants. She talks too fast, does not write anything on the board, and gets mad at you for asking questions. She is rude to students and does not want them to succeed. 4 HARD papers and 4 HARD tests. There is a map test that helps with your grade.

Dr. Biehler was not the best professor I've had. She's kind of rude and sarcastic but if you have tough skin you'll be fine. She so intensely loves history so thats nice that she is actually excited to be at class teaching you. Other than that there is an extensive paper to write if you want a B and two more if you want an A.

Prof. Biehler is a good teacher. Most of her lecture are clear and related to the content on her powerpoint. She often tell a little story about all the historical locations she have visited. Her test is hard but if you listen and take some note anything will be find. All of her lecture is related to the test.

I took the summer session and it was not bad at all. All she does is powerpoint of the chapter and she talks about it while you take notes. She tells a bunch of stories and has really unnecessary comments. The tests are pretty simple but just make sure you get good notes during class. Most if the time class ends early!

Professor B is very passionate about the subject, but if you slip up at the beginning of the semester like I did, it is impossible for you to get over a C. She's a tough grader, but her lectures make up for it. Tip: use the study guide.

On the syllabus it says you can only retake 1 out of the 5 tests (excluding map test). WRONGGG Towards the end she told everyone we could retake all of them so don't let the syllabus fool you. Gives extra credit but you have to write 4 page essays and some movie reviews. Hard to understand so do not take this teacher. Don't waste your money.

This professor's lectures were a little hard because there was a lot of information given, it was fast and I would suggest bringing a recorder to class. For the exams, the questions she asks are going to worded differently than on the learning objectives. Try to make flashcards for studying and very particular about papers. OK but critical.

her lectures are like story time. She's tough on grammar on papers. Expects you to be an adult and follow the rules (be on time, turn stuff in, etc) and a lot of people couldn't grasp that. She knows her stuff. Attend class, take good notes. Print your stuff out ahead of time. She gives opportunities for extra credit-do it. Loved her class.

For a history class, this was a hard one to do. Although, she has 4 multiple choice the questions seem to vague to choose just one. Also, to get an A you have to do 2 essays and a book/movie or History event report. Would not take this professor again!

Don't stick to JUST lectures. Read and analyze material. This will help you out on the test as well.; I made the mistake of not doing so. Lectures are descriptive and very informal; So, come here expecting to write. Turn in good written assignments to help boost your graded at the end of the semester.

Four different tests & one book report. The first test was the easiest test, considering the fact that it's a map test. Her lectures are difficult to follow and she always goes on a tangent. The book report is the second easiest thing to do in her class and that's worth extra credit points. The grade you earn depends on the grade you get on tests.

Prof. Biehler knows her stuff and gives you insight to small things in history that would never be covered in a regular class. I took her for her summer session so there was no essay, but 33 MC. Attendance is mandatory as her tests are entirely covered by her lectures and I would record them or write thorough word for word notes. Def. take her!

Just finished her summer US Hist 1301 course and this class wasn't all too bad! She's pretty laid back and has good lectures. Note taking is a must in this course since everything is fast paced. There's 5 tests and they all had around 30 multiple choice questions.. Fairly easy

Prof. Biehler is awesome. Her lectures are great, you must pay attention in order to write down important things to study for the test. Challenging class but can get done easily. Easy B or A!
