I LOVE HER!! I'm taking her again for ENC 1002, if you take the time to talk to her and get to know her you will be one of her favorites. You are pretty much doing easy papers to lead up to a final grade, if you have any family emergencies she's usually forgiving as long as you let her know ahead of time.

Amazing Professor! Had Dr. Marshall for ENC 1101 and loved her so much I got her for 1102! Just be sure to use correct spacing and MLA format and you should be set, has weekly Reading Reflections but they're very easy if you actually read the material.

She asks general questions about politics and current events. Don't say anything she disagrees with or she will use her doctorate as trump card and hold a grudge against you. The work is easy, but time consuming and tedious and it comes in volumes. Don't take this class--there are better professors on campus.

Not the nicest teacher. Comes off as rude and isn't very helpful. However it is an Easy A. Do exactly what the syllabus says & put everything in perfect MLA format and you're golden. No midterm or final, just write papers. Need to use the book but I just did all my assignments w/ one in library. 45 minutes tops per assignment 1-1.5 hour/major paper

When you come to class, I found that dressing up (jeans and nice shirt) will get you more help. If you look and act like you're taking the class seriously, she will be more likely to help you, even if she sounds condescending when she answers your questions. In your papers, just agree with whatever you think she wants you to say for an easy A.

This is a college English class, GEP or not you can expect to have writing assignments. You have weekly reading reflections which honestly take 20 mins max. 3 major papers & 3 mini papers. The third being a group project. If you try and focus on what she wants you to, you should have no problem. If you don't try she wont go easy on you

There are reading reflections due every week but they are really easy, as long as you format them properly and they relate to what the reading was on the you will get a 100 on them. There are a lot of papers due, but its an English course and she is an easy grader. I would not skip class because if you miss assignments you make them up.

Assignment due every week. Easy work, but she does not make it clear. If you have questions she'll just go around in circles with them. Didn't find her all that helpful, but the work is easy. I can see why people would find her rude. She's just really blunt.

Very easy A!! (I dont think it matters what prof you take for SLS they will all be easy.) The only thing I didnt like about her was that she will make you feel uncomfortable alot, because she always had to be right when we would discuss opinion topics.

she is the rudest teacher--she makes you feel like youre not good enough at something you thought you were. And she makes you feel like that in front of the whole class. If you try to refute her politely, she will snap back rudely. She claims she's nice but she does not show it a bit!!!! AVOID HER AVOID HER AVOID HER! idk how much clearer i can be.

Okay, listen ladies and gentlemen. I'm going to write as though I were writing for my past self to see this, so I will try to be as persuasive as possible. I love English. Unfortunately that did not matter in this class. She strictly grades on MLA format solely. As long as you follow it, you will get an A. Mess up once, get a B, like I did. ONCE.

She loves calling ppl out when late for class. Class goes at a fast pace, at least 1 essay due weekly, plus reading reflections, etc. On a more positive note, it doesn't look like she reads any of the essays, as long as you got ur MLA format right & correctly double spaced.. you'll be ok. Buy writing about writing.. only book you use..got an A

She treats her students as adults and expects them to come to class prepared. She is very motivational and has much to offer. Barely used the 'everyday writer' but Writing about Writing was used for every class. No tests, relaxed environment. She doesn't baby you and excuses don't usually work. I would recommend her, she is very good.

She's a tough cookie but will definitely help you if you need it. Papers are easy, but annoying. Only 4 core papers and she'll help you out in coming up with a topic. Go to class and do the papers and I got an A.

can be intimidating and if she doesnt agree with what you say your grade suffers but reasonably easy. got a b+ not trying. dont buy text books just the novel. lets you rewrite papers if you get a c or lower which was a lifesaver.

She is the worst prof. I have ever had. She is rude, uncaring and unclear. I never knew what she wanted turned in and that hurt my grade. She doesn't take attendence yet she told me I missed several classes (I missed one class). I didn't think she could be as bad as people said on here but she is! Do yourself a favor and stay far far away!!!

First off, do not buy the books, only one you need is the novel that you read. Secondly, this teacher favors guys over girls, and if you don't suck up to her you get graded unfairly. She is opinionated, rude, and a bully to her students. Friends have had easier english classes, I really regret taking her class to have to see her even once a week.
