ONE OF THE BEST PROFESSORS I'VE HAD A CLASS WITH! I love her sincere interest in her students' success, and how respectful she is towards everyone. She is very friendly, and likes to ask students about their days. She let us go early if we arrived early! Very rewarding. Follow instructions and you will be 100% fine.

Comment:

Naomi assigned interesting readings but, often the in-class discussions fell flat. It was common for awkward silences to fill a class period. She is not an easy grader, but she is very happy to help you improve. The readings were: Wuthering Heights, Station Eleven (post-apocalyptic), and Invisible Cities, though they are subject to change.

Comment:

I only took one class with Naomi, but she became one of the best contacts to have in the English department. She is the best of the best- truly cares about student's success. It won't be easy to get through one of her classes without trying, and learning, but that's how it should be. :)

ENG317 is typically regarded as an easy A class. Not the case with this prof. This class is on par with a comp-sci class I'm taking that has a reputation for being incredibly challenging, completely inappropriate for a mid-level English class that's required by many majors. Take ENG317 with anyone else.

Naomi is one of my all time favorite professors. The course was demanding, yet very fascinating- I didn't mind putting in extra time and effort on my papers and readings. She is a brilliant, composed, and certainly is knowledgeable on what she teaches.
