Nasr is one of the best profs I have ever had. O Chem is difficult, but Nasr lays down a solid foundation for your success. His lectures, assignments and tests are all representative of each other, and by putting in the effort, an A is definitely achievable in his class. The labs are an easy 30% of the grade. His final exams are very difficult.

Nasr is a really nice guy and gives the impression that he genuinely wants you to succeed. Tests are quite difficult, but, it is a hard course and I believe he marks fairly (sometimes will even throw in a half mark when you definitely don't deserve it). Labs are the easier portion of the course with minimal lab reports.

Was pretty nervous of taking chemistry after 4 years but this introductory course with Nasr has helped me revise all concepts and learn new ones too. His notes are amazing and most of the learning is done in class. Would definitely recommend for students who like taking notes. Great prof. Its helpful to have the course guide.

Nasr is a really nice guy and does an amazing job at teaching organic chemistry. His 3 midterms and final were very difficult and he explained that he would put 1-2 exceptionally challenging questions on each test to separate the A+ students from the A- students. Getting a hold of old tests from his previous classes is key.

Nasr is one of the best teachers I've had in post secondary school. He is very clear in his lectures and his notes are perfect. He actually makes you understand organic chemistry which for most people is tough. His tests are tough but he is very fair and gives you practice tests and homework which prepare you for the tests. Very helpful

Nasr is the NICEST PROF!! He is so sincere and constantly makes funny jokestells funny chem lab stories of his grad school days. I went to him for extra help a few times and he was great. His tests are tough however, especially his mechanism questions (part marks will get you through those!). Lab reports are the mark booster for sure.

Hard to succeed when he doesn't provide all of the information in class that's to be covered on tests. I felt as though you have to be a natural at chemistry before entering his class to succeed.

His first words were "I will teach you 80%, the rest you have to figure out on your own." Tests are extremely difficult and doesn't give much information of what will be on them. He will give you a sheet that says what is on the test but each point will be very broad such as: (1) Resonance (2) Stereochemistry and you're expected to master it..

I was absolutely terrified for this course and now I find myself looking forward to 231 because of him :) It's an privilege to be in his class!

Fantastic teacher. Textbook use is so low because he gives amazing notes, which will be infinitely more helpful than the book. The material itself is difficult, hence the difficulty rating. He couldn't be more helpful.

He is very available and although his tests are challenging, if you follow his recommendations for studying and completing the practice questions, getting an A is very possible. Thanks Nasr!
