I loved this class even though it was at 8:30 in the morning! It always went by so fast, and the atmosphere was really informal, which made it easy to participate. Really easy grading.

I was in Cooke's Can. Lit class over 10 years ago, and I remember it as being the best class I took in undergrad and graduate school. It was a lot of work, but well worth it.

I find her "niceness" totally phony. She's completely blatant about her favourites, and if you're not one of them, it's hard to get on her good side at all. Also not particularly open to ideas that don't accord with her own.

course requires too much work and moves far too quickly. While the prof is very moved by food in lit. her mothods of teaching and making the class feel the same way are nuts. She reaches to far and expects students to do the same.

Her heart doth bleed profusely. Focuses too much on a works pathos so her voice takes on this irritating tone of compassion. Students whose thoughts do not lean to the extreme left will feel very uncomfortable in her class.
