Comment:

Not a big fan of math classes, but he made bio stats not too terrible. Tests were not terribly difficult. As is the case with any class... just study. Chances are if you are in here you are going through the biology program at some level. If you find this class difficult, good luck with animal phys and bacterial genetics.

I love Dr. Norton! You should probably not miss class because he teaches a lot in each lecture and its all stuff that he probably wont go over again that you need for the test. If you aren't a studier, dont take this class. If you do the homework that he assigns but isnt due, and study you will do fine. I easily got an A.

Dr. Norton's class is really easy. He is definitely one of the better math teachers at UNCC. His real world applications to the problems help a bunch. His test are really easy as long as you do the homework and attend class lectures. His workbook is awesome!

Dr. Norton's special. makes you critique a medical artical and it's a bad article. tests and quizes are straight foward. if he tells you something four or five times, expect it on the the quiz/test. if you are .1 points from a certain letter grade, he won't give you it. invented this thing called falacies, which are stupid

Norton is very smart and tries his best to break everything down for his students. Still, you MUST study for this class to even get a C. Go to free tutoring in Fretwell it will help a ton. He does ramble a lot but he is one of the best dressed teachers on UNCC. No language barrier either!

Great professor! Always helped when I called him at home. This class though, you MUST study to get an A. He rambles on sometimes but hes probally one of the smartest professors at UNC-C.

Its not the easiest STATS class but he's very helpful and explains all topics thoroughly in class. His quizzes and tests are straight forward if you study. You have to use Minitab but it makes it easier to do the homework, which he doesn't check. Other than that he's a cool teacher, can be a litte long-winded but he "puts in the jokes for free!"

Haha.. this guy just blows my mind. Spends half the lecture talking about random things that have nothing to do with stats. Talks very fast, and throws in a "You with me?" every other sentence. Easy concepts to understand if you go to class... if you can stand to sit through his stupid stories and lame jokes.

His heart is in the right place and he is very intelligent. He is busy but still gets things graded in a timely manner. He can be a little long winded; especally with his stories. If you have to take the class, don't dread it just remember to study and listen to what he tells you to study in class and you will do fine. :)

Dr. Norton is very fair, and is a total genius. I believe he is a little unorganized, but I think that is because he has to go back and forth between books. That's a little annoying. This class is a challenge, but you must earn an A in his class- He doesn't hand them out. He barely studders.

This guy is a mental giant... He spends the entire class time teaching from the book and from his own book which he wrote... This class is tough but if you study and if you attend the extra pre-test question session which he offers you'll do fine.

I would not take this class...all he does is gives stories and then wastes the class time on dumb stuff. He also repeats everything 10 million times, things that are not even that important. His voice putts you to sleep. More then 90% of the class sleeps and he still lectures, and doesn't care.

By far the worste teacher I have ever had. Bad handwriting, hard to understand, corney jokes, you can know formulas and still do horrible on his hard tests. I am an A/B student. First class I have ever failed. Stuck in the past, outdated, needs to retire.
