Comment:

It's a class that requires time and effort. There is always something due or a quiz/test almost every week so it's a very busy class.But it is still very enjoyable. I had Riddington sensei for PAAS 230 and 330 and I found her to be one of the nicest teacher I've had. She genuinely cares about her students and she always makes time for them.

An intensive course (there was an essay due practically every two weeks and the weeks we didn't have an essay due, there was a quiz), but if you're serious about improving your Japanese, this course will help you ALOT.

Combine Yoda with Darth Vadar and you have Riddington sensei. She’s mourns her youth and takes it out on students that need clarity in her lectures. She has little patients and even less empathy for struggling students.

she's very helpful and cares about students. I honestly fell asleep in her classes few times because she's a little bit quiet. But she's a fair marker and if you really work hard you can get A easily. I'm going to take her other classes next year for sure.

Really awesome teacher, down to earth and so adorable! In 150, she didn't mark tough at all, just fair. Excellent teaching and organized! Take her class, she's understanding about you missing quizzes (as long as you have an semi-good reason)

I can't believe everyone is complaining about how she 'only speaks Japanese'. What are you taking Japanese for then?! If you ask on your own time, she'll explain anything in English. One of the best Japanese teachers I've ever had.

hard. sensei one hard sensei. she speak japanese all time. me have hard time, she dont explain well. I try hard but marking so hard i get bad mark. she minus mark for one character missing or word spelt wrong. nice sensei yet old style of sensei.

Riddington-sensei is the best Japanese instructor I have had!!! Her insistence on speaking Japanese and having us speak it helps so much with learning it!! She is available in her office, and will take time to explain things (even in English!) there.

Very sweet and patient prof. Really tries to help you learn the language, and can see everyone's potential. The course itself is difficult though if you are taking other courses simultaneously... be prepared to do a LOT of work on your own time.
