Prof. Perkins changed my life. As a result of speech 103 I changed my major from Black Studies to Speech. I took her for 3 or 4 classes (as well as Medina, McKenzie, Garcia, and the other Caucasian female who left) that was more than 10 years ago. Prof. Perkins is still my mentor. And now, I am a speech teacher at an institution in the Midwest.

Rude and nasty! Never should have gone into teaching!!! Doesn't let anyone get a word in without being interrupted! She also talks too fast, non stop!!! She should be evaluated by the Dean.

I took this class over the summer! She's very fluent about effective communication and knows a lot about life. VERY influential and caring. Not a lot of outside work required for this class. She's very approachable and wants to help her students!!

Great teacher. Speeches are easier if you practice a lot. Took summer session, class went by really fast! Really entertaining! I highly recommend taking the class with P.Perkins. Tests weren't that bad, just study hard. Have fun! Buy the book.

She has great enthusiasm and energy for speech. Helped my public speaking. Negative- I was upset with a test that the class average was a low 70%. It was horrible and should have been graded on a curve or dropped. Recommend the class w/o that one test.

A credit to her profession and an asset to City. Can't imagine why she hasn't been swooped up by a more prestigious and appreciative institution. She inspires and ignites a lust for life and knowledge like no one else can. She is a professor amoungst teachers. Greatness is always her choice!

She is the BEST teacher I have ever had!!! The class was 3 hours long and I was never bored. I learned so much from her. She is an amazing teacher. I will be taking more speech classes in the future. She is an A++ teacher!!
