Comment:

He's been there for decades so he has the material memorized. Difficult to follow, He jumps around on the board and has sloppy handwriting. A few individuals in the department and they confirmed that he is instructed to make his course difficult in order to weed out students. So study hard, always be prepared and don't irritate him.

Kinda a useless professor. Pretty much blames the class for being 'sloppy' after everyone fails an exam, and doesn't realize it's partially (mostly) due to him being an awful professor. He makes it very hard to learn or even care to learn, and I think he might be clinically depressed by the way he acts. Would stay away.

whispers to the board like its his secret lover, only to than grade you on proof rather than answers. for example if asked 1+1? and you put 2 you basically get it wrong unless you give the proof related

He is the worst professor I've ever had. He mumbles during class, then gets mad when people ask him it to repeat something. He demands perfect work with every little detail explained to his liking on tests, yet writes chicken scratch on the board and has jumbled notes. I had a professor at another school that had Florio who told me to drop. Avoid!

This so called professor is by far the worst I've ever taken, highly unreasonable! He will yell at students for asking simple questions, refuses to repeat anything he says even though he murmurs throughout the entire lecture. You will learn more from youtube videos than you would from his class. For sake of the students' and NJIT, he must leave.

DO NOT TAKE. very tough grader and you have to go to class. cant teach properly and just mumbles and expects you to remember everything he says. has a no laptop or phone policy. exams are worded horrendously and all around horrible individual. will get more from reading the textbook and learning everything from there

Do not take any of his classes. The only positive of this experience is that you'll better appreciate good professors. He is a very smart man but cannot communicate effectively. He mumbles throughout his lectures and frequently writes illegibly. He is very narrow minded and thinks very lowly of students.

The man is simply a genius! I probably could not have learned half as much from ANY other professor in this school. I transferred in from MIT 2 years ago and dude, you want to talk about tough professors? haha. Everyone looks for an "Easy A". Learn from the best and do whatever it takes... quit complaining! Work, study, succeed! Florio Rocks!

Professor Florio was a very tough professor; I knew this before taking him for Thermo. However, I listened attentively in class, worked hard with homework and asked questions when I wasn't sure and guess what fellow students, I got an A! The secret.. show you are determined to learn, don't insult his intelligence and don't be timid you will win!

Not a good teacher by any means. Years ago he did research and got tenure, but he is long past his useful days. His grading consists of simply putting x's on a paper and assigning random point amounts. He mumbles, writes over his own writing, not legible, then erases his work and changes it before you can write it down. Best grade67 final

He thinks every mechanical engineering student is a cheater. Only teaches theory and rarely goes over example problems. Even by giving him a low score in the end of semester survey, he has tenure. Almost all students don't like the way he does his job. Kind of feel bad for the guy.

LOVES playing cheating detective, siting in the back will earn you his contempt towards the end of the semester. Don't be the face he pegs his frustration on when the class starts failing. And fail it will, he actively stops providing his lecture notes as semester progresses. Its as if he wants you to fail. Exams not based on hw/textbook. Avoid!!!!

I respect him, he knows the material inside out, but he speaks softly and quickly. Its alot of info to absorb and you've gotta study hard to understand it. He'll help you if you ask, but he'll fail you if he doesn't think you understand. He grades harshly, so partial credit is practically non-existent.

He is a nice guy, but he is NOT a good teacher. He knows the material well, but he does a really bad job explaining it. He is very very soft spoken and his notes on the board are jumbled and extremely hard to understand.
