The masterclass is very interesting and at most times engaging. She captures details that allows you to expand on other ways of practising. Also, her knowledge on composers is great and doesn't just recite another biography but actually gives us a clear understanding of their life and the impact that they had. For the most part she's easy going.

What I like is that she used notes. There is a relation to what she says and what is in the text and it is easy to follow. At least you're not thrown off infinite tangents and left to sort out what is relevant material like some other profs.

She reads directly from her notes (yawn) to her podium, the whole front row could be on fire and I don't think she'd notice. Attendance is not mandatory, thank whatever god you pray to. She posts her notes online. She's organized, Ill give her that but not very engaging. Loads to memorize im not sure she actually helped me to understand anything.

I took the course as she being the new lecturer 3 ears ago. "Easy" course as I have witnessed how she nerfed the exam to make most other failed classmates pass... and gave her moderate clarity rating Only because she read from textbooks (textbooks can't go too wrong, right. Right?) (and hence my high ratings on the textbook use, no pun intended.

My class was the gineapig for Prof. Wait. She looked only at her notes. Could never answer a question in class because the answer wasn't in her notes. MOst of the class failed her midterm. The questions in that midterm were just obscure facts she had mentioned and did not reflect knowledge of the subject matter.I love music history, but not Wait.

Having the notes on the website was helpful. I didn't like that she mostly read from her papers in lectures. The tests were too much on memorization, and not enough on understanding. She is not an early music fan, but she did an excellent job of explaining 18th & 19th century music, which she knows well & seemed quite enthusiastic about.

one of the worst teachers i've ever had. reads from a sheet, grades everyone poorly in the midterm exam and then gives them As in the final exam (presumably to keep her position)... horrible, boring teaching style, at least as a lecturer. avoid her!!

Excellent prof. Just when you thought things couldn't get better, in stepped a teacher and captivated the class with her professionalism, enthusiasm that rubbed off on her students at the end of term. Highly recommended.
