Dr. Bagley is a really great guy, he makes jokes and tries to keep everyone's attention. I have zero interest in philosophy so I was looking for the easy A... this is not the professor for that. You have to write down everything he says and work extremely hard on the few essays that make up your whole grade. If you like philosophy, take him.

Great teacher, no reading outside of class. If you pay attention in class and take notes on his lectures thats all you need for the essays. Funny, tries to keep lectures from being too boring. Definitely recommend.

Wonderful class! As long as you take notes in class you'll do fine, because your notes are just what you'll need for your essays. Stick to what the assignments ask you to write and this class is an easy A. Dr. Bagley is hilarious and very knowledgeable- he'll help you with anything!

Dr. Bagley is a wonderful and intelligent man. I took this class first semester freshman year and it was definitely a plunge into collegiate work. There are no tests or quizzes just three essays, but he grades really hard. Make sure you go and chat with him about your paper before you turn it in! He'll definitely clarify everything better.

Makes philosophy more interesting than it is, very enthusiastic. Definitely bring essay drafts to him early. Not difficult to get B's but pretty hard to get an A.

He's a really nice guy, very enthusiastic about philosophy. He gives you exactly what you need to know for papers as long as you take notes and is really helpful if you go to his office hours. Definitely take him!

Does everything he can to make a boring subject interesting. Funny and extremely nice. Very approachable and outgoing. The class was really not very difficult at all. If you don't like philosophy but need it for a requirement- take him.

He's a really nice, funny guy. Tries to make the class not boring. No tests, 5 papers on the readings which he goes over in class. Kind of a tough grader-go to him before hand with a draft early--he's very busy since he's the head of the philosophy dept.

Makes a horrifyingly boring subject somewhat interesting.. No tests- five papers throughout the whole semester that are typically 3 pages long. Take advantage of his office hours because he will read over your paper and help you fix it before the due date. He is a very smart and articulate man with an extremely broad vocabulary.. kinda a hotty..

I find him to be somewhat obnoxious at times by trying to act extremely smart like speaking Latin excessively or mispronoucing English words as if he knows better than any one how to speak properly. No tests, papers are self-explanatory. It's not a lot of work, but I wouldn't go out of my way to take him.

He's a great guy! Not a stickler with attendance. No tests or quizes (finals or midterms). He gives a few papers but they're 3pgs at most! I wasn't too thrilled about taking this class in the beginning but now I really enjoy it! Go to him for help b/c he'll def. fix ur paper to how he wants it. He's really not that hard at all!

Maybe he's good for lower level, but I expected more from upper level. Good guy, but *repetative*, and not particularly interesting. Papers require finessed rambling skills as questions that can be answered in a paragraph are supposed to be 7 pages. Not a lot of work, but not worth taking either.

Booooring subject first of all, but he cracks jokes to keep you awake, so that's good, lol. NO FINAL! Very few papers that aren't allowed to be more than 3 pages long. Available for help, fair grader; stay awake in class you're assured at least a B+. Need I say more?
