Very nice guy. Grades extremely easily and gives good advice on speeches. However, I strongly recommend taking him in the 8 week Spring semester. When this guy has 16 weeks to teach a class, his sidetracking is ungodly. The 8 week semester is graded solely on a handful of speeches ranging from 2-5 minutes. The topics are very relatable.

Great class! Paul Chapel is a great instructor, maybe a little on the easy side but if you need to get an A you still have to work for it. Not a push-over like some think, he lets you determine you grade like an adult not a dictator.

He is the man.He is a little old but he is still a very cool guy. He doesnt help you that much but he grades very easily and is very liberal with due dates. I would recommend him to anybody

Great class! worked with all of us on when we had to speak and what we wanted to speak about. Other than the impromptu speeches we got to choose what we spoke about! Better know how to do a key-point outline because there was no book telling you how too.

He is a nice guy but doesn't seem to really care to pay attention in class. He is easily distracted while we are in the middle of doing things. He is always late, sometimes 20 minutes or more! I didn't feel like I learned professional skills for future presentations.

Boring, boring, boring!He is not very helpful and will not work with students if you have to miss class. He has handouts but they do not cover everything and he is unorganized. I am taking the theater class with another professor and it seems much more interesting.

Chapel is history at mott the oldest teachest in sinority. Family and teaching is the main stay of life. True to the blue. BE there and never miss more then one day and you will stay the course for a 4.0. Come prepared! But only try not try harder. Great person and professor

It is VERY true he picks favorites, because I was one of the class favorites. You would think that would be a good thing, but I didn't really like it. It made me a little uncomfortable. All the way through graduate school, I never had a professor act like this. He is really down on smartass guys, too. On the other hand, he knows his stuff well.

I was not a fan of Chapel for the Broadcasting class. He didn't really teach anything, and when he did attempt to lecture I became very sleepy. He expected us to know everything about cameras & the tech aspect, and tried to make people feel stupid if they didn't know something.
