His teaching is great. This guy truly cares about his students. he explains things very thoroughly. I was very skeptic about taking a course with him due to the below comments. But he is really nice! he gives you the solutions for everything, his marking is fair, he explains things well specially the hard topics. I'm happy i took a course with him!

This entire course is based off of consolidations for parent and sub company. Huge question on the midterm worth more than half of the marks on full blown consolidation. Prepare a mental system of how to approach consolidation questions so you dont forget the steps and where numbers go. First course with Paul, and I took another one. A+

This was the second course I have taken by Paul and as per his first one, he expects you to do your work. His teacher methods are different than other teachers, but they are effective. No solutions to the problems are given so its tough to know when your right or wrong. Review all material he hands out, no need to read text, but you need casebook.

Hi accent is not an issue. However, his attitude is. Students in my night class ask questions near end of class (not after class) and he raises voice to embarass students, & claims has already explained (apparently not well enough if multiple are not sure). re: program head, i think bcit mandates rotating program heads, school had no choice.

It's true that his accent is a bit strong but once you get use to it, he's actually a pretty good teacher. His notes are very good. You can pass his course with a decent mark by using just his notes and doing the assigned questions. You may feel that he's not very approachable but once you start talking to him, he's actually very nice and helpful.
