He is honestly a saving grace. I was planning to transfer schools until I had him. He is super attentive and responds quickly. Fair grades/easy. He's willing to work with you if you have chronic health issues or other things in your life that impede your ability to get work by the due date(s). If this wasn't my class, I'd take him again.

This is the second course I've taken from him. This course was an elective back in the winter months of 2015. Dr. Medhurst is quite the "Einstein" as he can pull from the four corners of the globe to give you the best learning experience possible. You will not find a better instructor to teach this course! "Read, research, write & proofread...!"

Professor Medhurst delivers a very informative class on Deception, Propaganda, and Misinformation. I took this course as a graduate elective and had no previous background in the area. He was more than helpful with any questions as well as offered great resources and a great selection of books for the course to make it very enjoyable!

Does not live up to his reputation. Grades come back slowly and to the point where they are not useful to you anymore. He responds to messages quickly and is always willing to help you in any way he can. Don't avoid the class if he's the only one teaching it but if possible check out another professor. Applies grading criteria in a confusing way.

Cut and paste responses into comments. Responded to only 50% of student forum postings within an 8 wk class. When he does respond, the vast majority of his comments do not pertains neither students' grasp of the subject nor have any connection to the course taught (the EU and Nazi plan for post WW2 Europe). Grading focused on citation note content

Great professor! He went out of his way to make sure that I understood material I was struggling with and he did the same for all of the other students in class. Tough but fair grader that makes you rise to the occasion. I ended the class feeling as though I had actually learned something! Would definitely recommend and take again!

Dr. Medhurst is pretty invested in the class. He is quick to respond and provides a ton of feedback on major assignments. He seems to grade more on format than actual content and has really high expectations overall. Make sure you are clear on citation format early on, he uses his own variation of Turabian.

I will say that I was skeptical taking this class b/c of reviews past. PM is very strict with grading; however, he was more than happy to help whenever I needed it. I agree that taking this class with any other is a bad idea!!!I enjoyed PM very much and his weekly summaries helped me in the final. I will absolutely take him again.

PM is very knowledgeable, yet feedback seemed more like he was just spouting off his vast knowledge of things rather than showing you what you did right/wrong. The course content was very enriching, although a lot of reading. Syllabus was pointless as PM didn't seem to use it. Uses his own format for citations.

Dr. Medhurst, *READ HIS BIO* This man is a living legend. I worked in 501. I ended up with an A-. His comments are highly invested. Prompt response via chat or apus email - makes no difference, he responds ASAP day or night. I look forward to take more classes from him. His critiques are highly scholarly. He's taught over 26000 students no doubt.

Loved this course! It was a lot of work but I learned TONS. PM was great and was very active in the db's providing valuable information. You will be very busy but it is well worth it. Definitely one of my top professors! While I know the work is difficult, I would take another of his classes because I know I will gain valuable knowledge!

EXTREMELY interesting class, several topics are discussed (including UFOs), time consuming, you will be reading and writing from beginning of the class to the very end. Prof Med. is very understanding, invested in the class, great feedback, and very polite. DO NOT TAKE THIS CLASS ALONG WITH ANOTHER CLASS. This class is very challenging.
