Amazing and ridiculously hilarious prof! He recognizes that class discussion can get boring so he changes the topic often w/in the class. Very helpful and allowed ample freedom to explore your own topics. He was extremely supportive and very understanding. His jokes, by the way, are always about sex-a class not to be missed for lit majors!

Pretty much my favorite English prof. Peter is warm, accessible and encouraging, and truly tries to build a student's confidence, which in turn produces better work. He keeps class discussions engaging and spirited and gives good feedback on papers, too.

Professor Berek was just so good in Eng 101 that I had to take his Eng 228 Comedy Course. He is an amazingly lighthearted, down to earth man that can make any reading hilarious and any class enjoyable. One of the happiest men I've ever met and always willing to talk and help out with a paper or life

He is a very good prof for a first year seminar, I feel as though I'm going to be a better writer by the end of this class. He can relate everything we talk about to sex, which, amusing as it might be, can be a bit much to handle at 8:30 in the morning.

Professor Berek belongs to that group of profs that are at MHC to teach, first and foremost. While he's also an accomplished scholar, he genuinely cares about his students. If you do good work, PARTICIPATE in class, and take the time, HE'S GREAT!!!

He's ok, but not a very creative professor. Bored out of my mind nine classes out of ten. Easy grader as far as papers are concerned. I will avoid taking any classes with him again, there are too many amazing profs here to waste time on mediocre ones.
