Comment:
Very interesting prof. He covers some neat topics and is a very loud speaker. He adds in a lot of pictures related to topics to help describe things or to hit a point home, but doesn't test you on the pictures! He didn't use books for this class and used online articles instead. This was both handy and annoying at the same time!

I LOVED this man! he was a great prof!Always made me laugh and I really found that he made the lectures more interesting by using pictures during the notes! He was one of my favourite profs this year and I would really enjoy having him again. He didn't mark hard as long as you knew the material and showed that you read the text which is expected.

Peter seems to be quick to come to conclusions, but I might be wrong as his attitude is very hard to understand because I am not used to Canadian customs and the message that he is trying to present.

McInnis is one of my favorite history professors at X! His classes can be a little boring at some points, but he does throw jokes and random things in there that are quite hilarious. He is a good and fair marker, I managed to get 80s in his class. He expects you to read the readings, so that's a must!

Comment:
Lectures are dry and boring (even for Canadian history) and he will often put pictures in his slides, pulling them up before students can finish copying down his notes. Dictates too much and doesn't allow feedback from students enough. Also is a hard marker. However, he knows the material quite well and is still better than some history profs at X.

Not the most interesting prof in the world, but he knows his stuff. I found he liked when people gave comments. He marked hard but was always willing to give help during office hours.

I love this man! Clearly the smartest man in the history of the world! Sort of intimidating but only because he's so smart. He's hilarious too once you catch on to his sense of humour! I'ld take him again in a heartbeat.

Comment:
Very Ontario-Centric in teaching, necessary in a History of Canada Course perhaps, but token mentions of other areas feel insulting.

Has exams marked by masters student in N.B., kind of insulting having someone other than the prof mark your exams for such a small class. Will not allow opportunity for questions or discussion in class.

I used to have a problem with this guy. Nothing really justified just a general baseless dislike. But one time my exam time got screwed up and he completely saved my ass. He let me re-write the exam with minimal groveling from myself. He lays out his lectures well, but be prepared to read some very boring material.

I suppose he's okay, but compared to the rest of the department (hogan or raiswell for example) He's boring &disorganised. This class is the bane of my existance and my major's history. Dude, we really don't need to see 3 different pics of McGill. Would rather see his notes that are on overhead.

Good Prof, plain and simple. Knows his stuff, and wont hesitate to tell you everything he knows, in great detail. The overhead notes are a joke, he never follows them so dont bother copying them down. Really open to discussion, which is a plus in my books
