I took this class &I have to say is not easy, you need to print like 300 pages of ppts, which is ridiculous. Also, theres a lot of work, I did every hw,test,midterm,etc.. an I got a C+ (which is reasonable, b/c i dont like science). Take her, she helps you w/ group study. (One of the homeworks is to go to her house &do research on electricity,water

She's a really great professor but the class has a ridiculous amount of work, the homework's are pretty helpful but as for in class she expects you to print out hundreds of pages of powerpoint slides to keep up because she moves too fast to write down notes. Her tests can be rough but she's a very fair teacher

I have nothing but nice words to say about her. She is extremely knowledgeable and has so much passion for science. The class is somewhat difficult, so you should ask her for extra help. She wants everyone to succeed and will always help. She made science more interesting for me. She expects participation and uses clickers. BEST professor I've had.

Kooky and old-fashion professor. One of our assignments was at her house. Other than that, homework were fairly easy. she offers study sessions esp. for those who've a difficult time in science. participation required. smart and knows her stuff, isn't afraid to embarass herself. Overall, interesting class and inspirational teacher.

Quirky and intelligent professor. Offers study sessions especially if chemistry and physics isn't your thing or you need the extra help. 3 easy projects (one at her house). 10 homework assignments, easy if you go to her study sessions. 5 exams (last one is comprehensive), and an several online assignment. I actually thought this class was going to go waaaay over my head because I never even took a chemistry class before... but all you have to do is study...and not even that much...i learned a lot and she is soooooo funny and a great person to look up to!

She is a very nice and helpful teacher. Definitely knows what she is talking about, while the class may have no idea. No textbook, which made the class hard. Had to use a clicker and that gave participation points. Do the homework and quizzes. Go to the study sessions. It may sound like an easy class, but it isn't. Lots of hard work.

Professor Roeder is extremely knowledgeable about her subject. However, when she talks about the different points in class some of the stuff she said was way over our heads. The only reason I attended class was for clicker points. Also, for one project we had to go to her house. I can't say that's a smart move on her part...

I had heard not so good things about her prior to taking her class, but I kinda liked her. She's a goof. The homeworks were kind of like take home quizzes, and really prepare you for the exams. I always thought I didn't do well on the tests, then got a B in the class. You have to go to her house for an experiment for a few hours...

Dr Roeder is amazing! Yes this class is pretty intense for a 100 level class but she is MORE than willing to help if you are confused. Having hw and a small project helped in getting some extra points. She is very passionate about this class. Highly recommend!!!

Very nice lady and means well but not a very good teacher. What she does attempt to explain is unclear and she expects you to know A LOT of material, so be prepared to teach yourself. But I thought I was going to fail and ended up with a C. And there are some cool real world projects to teach you about environmental issues.

a lil difficult to understand, you could tell she knew what she was talking about just had trouble articulating it to students so you could understand. it was a lot of work, i never used the book, if you go to class & pay attention and do the homework you should be alright. didn't seem helpful, if couldn't answer a ques. just said that is her answ.

Dr. Roeder is nerdy, but loveable. She really wants students to succeed and will do whatever it takes to help you. Tests are hard - no Scantrons here - because she wants to know that you really understand the material. If you want to learn, definitely take her. If you want an easy A, go somewhere else - you have to work for an A here.
