Professor Ramsey is extremely passionate about every piece we read and gives an in depth explanation of those we don't understand. For a honors literature class, there was not as many papers as I expected (3 or 4) and the readings weren't overwhelming. Only thing is she gives you no feedback on your essays so its hard to understand what was wrong

Brit Lit: two papers, midterm and final. Ramsey is super nice and super interested in the works we talk about, her passion radiates during lectures and I thought that was great. Do make sure to study for her exams though, they can be tough. Make sure to see her in office also and she will love you. Made her my advisor because she is wonderful.

She is the nicest! We used the New Yorker Magazine as our text book and wrote all of our essays after the pieces in there (movie reviews, editorial pieces). All the papers can be about something you like! She is great with extra help!

I love Ramsey! She's an amazing english teacher, and tries to keep everything interesting. As for papers, as long as you stick to the handout she gives you and make sure you have everything she wants and it's written fairly well, you'll be fine. I'd definitely recommend her and take her again if I had the chance!

She talks as if she's had 10 cups of coffee before each class. She's very passionate about literature, but I still find myself falling asleep every class. And I'm an honors student. However, she is very reasonable in the amount of work she gives and with her grading as well.

I have had Ramsey for two classes already and would love to have her again. She is a GREAT teacher, and completely changed my mind from hating english to LOVING it. She has taught me how to write a way I would never have imagined writing before. She is brilliant, LOVE her!

I took Ramsay for Approaches, which is notoriously hard. The class was very difficult, but Ramsay was always willing to help me out (not that she was always the best at it, though). She is obsessed with Robinson Crusoe, however, so be forewarned.

Ramsey is one of the most respecful, helpful teachers. She's clear about what she expects, and her classes are both interesting and amazing. to do better on papers, you have to analyze to death, really show an understanding. Take her if you're serious about english, she'll teach you a lot about how to write a good paper.
