Echempati is by far one of the worst professors on campus! He thinks that we have all taken his class before and should know how to do all of his problems. Then he has a grad student write his test and grade them! DO NOT TAKE ANY CLASS WITH ECHEMPATI!!!

Prof. Echempati is by FAR the worst professor I've had at Kettering Unversity so far. He is not willing to participate in office hours, grades with no justification, provides no meaningful feedback, gets very upset when asked questions, and grades unreasonably. DO NOT TAKE PROFESSOR ECHEMPATI IF HE CAN BE AVOIDED.

Tells the class topics won't be covered on a test. Then blatantly lies and puts those topics he says "don't worry about studying" on the test. Do whatever you can to dodge this prof.

Easily the worst professor I've had so far. Changes his mind about homework assignments without telling the class. Mumbles to the board on top of an already difficult to understand accent. He seems like he wants to help students with their questions, but he won't answer questions directly. Students find it extremely hard to understand expectations.

So, worst professor on campus. Mumbles to the board the whole class. Doesn't answer questions directly. Tries to work with you, but pretty much just does what he wants. Very unclear as to what to do on the projects, changes his mind all the time. Doesn't care that he wasn't clear and docks students anyway. He's in the bottom 5 for a reason...

Beware of the group projects but if you go to him he is very nice and really willing to help. Work hard in the beginning on the Shaft Analysis and everything else will come easy

He''s OK... Responds to 50 of emails and will address one of five things you ask about. Lecture is mostly reading from the book with a couple non-complete examples. Homework has no feedback unless you ask for it then you get very minimal. No rhyme or reason for your grade. Assignments rather unclear and ever-changing... Not difficult though

Gives frequent saturday tests and puts new material on tests. Assignments didn't usually reflect the principles we were learning. Would frequently lecture from a slideshow that was premade from the publisher of the book. Would not pre-screen slideshows so it was his first time seeing them as well. Do your best to a avoid at all costs

He sputters so many words and things to know that it's so hard to know what is expected. He should not be teaching students. He is also very rude when students ask him questions. He flips out and makes himself very unapproachable. Even when students email him, he encourages meeting in person, but students are very intimidated and scared by him.

He is genuinely difficult to understand sometimes, and tends to be pretty vague/confusing when explaining assignments. The class itself isn't bad, and he knows the material very well, he just isn't very good at communicating. It's not an easy class, but he gives lots of extra credit opportunities.

Knows his stuff, but has a hard time conveying it. No skipping this class, as he grades based on you showing up and he gave a lot of in class quizzes or class work that are hard to make up. Somehow ended up with an A, but it was an awful, miserable term.Had for a 6-8 and we didn't get out until 9 for the first half of the term.

This prof is the biggest tool ever. PLZPLZPLZ don't take him. Incompetent, incomprehensible, consistently rude and uncaring about students, subjective grader, and extremely unfair tests (a two hour test in a one hour session. No joke). God I wish I had just dropped this class and taken it another time with a different professor.

He has a background in Machine Tool, so he knows the material quite well. As long as you pay attention in class and DONT SIT BEHIND ME TALKING for the whole two hours, you should do fine.

I don't know if he thought our class was stupid(although it was Statics during winter)or if he just was apethetic or just can't teach,but he came across as hostile at times, kinda wanted to jack him in the face a few times.Assigns classwork.Easy class for ME's,EE friends had trouble.He's a master at the subject,and if you're able,you'll learn alot.

I had to take him my STUDY ABROAD term, and he assigned homework problems that took three hours, gave tests that took three hours (AFTER CLASS)and assigned final project groups that combined the people who showed up to class with people who NEVER came. He is pompous and arrogant and I would rather shoot myself than take his class again.
