Randy was great, he is kind and really takes time to get to know his students. I feel so lucky to be able to have had his class. He knows what he is doing and the format is incredibly easy to follow. Will miss him in his retirement.

Hes very passionate about his courses, and he is good at using personal experience and personal beliefs to help assist in lectures. He is very unbias when teaching which is one of the reasons I love him. He can teach something without letting his beliefs interfere

Randy is great. Very interesting in class and asks thought provoking questions. If you fail or do poorly in class, it will be your own fault because he clearly outlines what you need to do to get 100% on everything. Go see him for tutorials and he will tell you what to memorize and hand stuff in early and he will tell you what to fix to get 100%.

Randy is by far one of the best profs at RDC. His grading is fair and his expectations are always clear. He likes to push the envelope a little bit and gets students to debate controversial topics, he also makes some offensive jokes, but its all in good fun. If you have a sense of humor, you will love Randy!

Great Prof! Easy semester with Randy. He says some offensive hilarious jokes sometimes so if you are sensitive then get over it. He does everything he does to see how people will react. He's a sociologist, so don't take his jokes seriously. Very understanding and helpful.

Randy is by far my favourite prof. He was an amazing help and was always there for you if you had questions or didn't understand a concept. Highly recommend reviewing the exams with him, he is very forgiving if you make a mistake.

Randy is passionate about having students learn beyond the course curriculum, and this is essential to understand if you take his courses. If you are easily offended, don't take his class - he jokes around but there is always a method to his madness. This prof is truly great and made my undergrad memorable.

If you follow his instructions EXACTLY, you'll do very well on papers. His tests weren't bad as long as you study. Some people find his humor offensive, I found him entertaining. The conversations you have in his class are interesting and random. He's one of my favourite profs. I liked him much better than Larry!

Randy is a difficult professor to get a handle on. His exact model of papers, assignments is difficult to maintain. His word counts will kill you! Course material in outline was barely touched in class. Term memorization heavy. Unless you are interested in Sociology or have to take Intro to social cultural anthropology DO NOT take class.

Randy is very clear with his expectations concerning how to do well in the class. All material is online and in the text. He holds tutorials to prepare for quizzes/exams (by request). Exams are generally fair. He's extremely approachable. This being said, I felt I didn't learn much overall. A good class to take to boost GPA if you put work into it.

This class is incredibly easy provided you show up to every class and study minimally exactly what he tells you. Take this class if you want an easy GPA booster. However, if you wanted to learn anything, take it from another instructor or spend a lot of time reading the text because you can get an A+ in this class without learning a single thing.
