Bazowski is a very intelligent professor and I would recommend anyone to take his class. He knows his stuff throughly and he is confident in what he teaches. Show your understanding of the readings and you'll do fine.

Excellent prof/lecturer for third year! For fourth year, not interactive enough. Does not know students by name, even the keen ones. He is not good at marking assignments or responding to emails on a timely basis, and by principal doesnt give any A+s. BUT, if you go to him during office hours for help, he will do whatever he can to assist you.

Professor Bazowski is one of the most enlightened professors I have experienced in a University setting. He is an excellent teacher, and the exams and assignments are incredibly clear. Simply put, if you put work into studying for exams, and assignments; you will succeed, if not, you have nowhere else to look but at yourself.

He's very smart but somewhat unorganized. Tends to arrive late (even for exams), but is fairly good overall and very knowledgeable. TA's can make your grade or break it, but Ray knows his stuff for you to succeed if you apply yourself.

He is a good lecturer. Really helpful during office hours. My 2 other york professors just want you to go away. He really cares that you do good in the course. He spend 30 minutes just going over my arguments and helping me get the readings. You don't have to buy any textbooks. Everything is online.

content of the course was dull,but prof tried his best to pose thought-provoking questions. i suggest you approach him during office hours because he should have been more clear on expectations for assignments, and given more feedback. nonetheless, the course was relatively easy.

I would not advise taking a course with Bazowski. Two weeks after the final grade deadline, no one in class has received more than 10% of their marks. There was absolutely no feedback and the course consisted of peer presentations, so Bazowski never actually taught us anything. Do not take any of his courses.

Bazowski is pretty straight forward, and gives engaging lectures about the various topics. Really interesting course, but the people of the class make the discussions mush more interesting.

Would not recommend this class to anyone. His lectures are hard to understand due to it not being his own but Ian Greene's from many years ago. He had an in-class factum which was extremely disorganized. Some people received their factum almost 45 min after class. Too much work for a 3 credit course + assignments are weighed to high.

I love the interesting class discussions and thought provoking lectures. Sometimes I would still be thinking about the things that were taught and things we talked about in class on the weekends. He cares about his students and tries to get you interested in the issues. He is smart, funny and understanding.

I received an A in this class, so I am likely bias. I attended all lectures, did all the readings and I loved the course. I liked the debates and class questions. All the expectations are clear and transparent. The readings can even be humourous occasionally. This prof. is also very clear and takes his time explaining things.
